Placed an order at 7.30 when the wait said about 30 mins. It's 8.30 and I just checked the status which said that my order might be here at 9.10. This restaurant is one street and half a block away. Not impressed so far. UPDATE: I'm not sure if the delay was the fault of Seamless or the restaurant itself. I got my food at 9pm. I will say the lady who picked up my call was extremely apologetic and even the delivery guy apologized. The food was good. Not amazing, but I'd order from them again. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and the the ziti bolognese. The spaghetti was the winner. It was a lot of food and even though it was crazy late I appreciate the service once I called. Mistakes happen.
Pretty mediocre Italian food. I ordered a basil pesto lobster ravioli, and it was much too oily for my taste- the restaurant is spacious and romantic though, so extra stars for atmosphere. However, the prices are too high for the quality of food you get- my friend ordered the cheapest pasta on the menu and I felt like I could've made better spaghetti and meatballs myself.
We went here after a long day at the client site. It was about 8 PM and most of the restaurants in the area were somewhat empty. It was a Monday night – so I didn't expect it to be crowded.
It is a very authentic looking Italian place with brick faced walls and a bar running along some of the eating area. There was a huge table of about 50 people eating…so it looked empty at first but then they had this massive party to serve. I thought this would really delay our meal, but it didn't.
They took our starter orders and drinks right away. Brought them out quickly and were very attentive. They took a while to get back to us for our main course order, but with a table of 50 needing service, what would you expect?
The Chicken Marsala was very good. The bread was great and veggies were cooked perfectly.
Definitely a good choice for date night or after work meal. Don't sit too close to the front door in the winter if you don't want to catch a chill though.
They seemed to do a huge business with delivery too. The delivery guys were were constantly streaming out of the restaurant with bags of food – so there appears to be a big demand.
We came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was a great experience!
The service was superb, the waiter was friendly and helpful. He made me feel right at home and even sent us home with some warm extra rolls because my son loved them. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, especially for New York.
We got the angel hair pasta with clams, caprese salad, and seafood pasta to share. All of it was homemade, fresh, and delicious! The portions were decently sized without being overwhelming.
Overall, I had no complaints and I would definitely return the next time I'm in New York!
