  1. Working so close to this restaurant, i'm surprised that i haven't tried it sooner.

Walked over to pick up some lunch earlier this week.  Ordered 3 rolls, Salmon Avocado, Tuna Cucumber, and yellowfin with scallions.

The meal came with a small salad, and a small miso soup.

    Soup was decent.

Salad was good.  Mixture of romaine and baby greens, a little shredded cabbage, along with a cherry tomato and a few slices of cucumber.  It also came with some carrot ginger dressing, which i really enjoyed.  Many places, the dressing is too sweet.. here you could really taste the ginger… had a nice kick to it.

The maki rolls were also decent.

Overall, a great value for the buck.. the 3 rolls with the soup and salad were only $11 (Lunch special).

  2. Easily the best salad, tempura and sushi I have had in this area.  Also byo, reasonably priced and very attentive service.  Looking forward to trying more dishes.

It is a great stride for Cranford to have a 2 block stretch with a sushi place this good, plus Cuban, Greek, Middle Eastern and Asian fusion places.  Unlike Scotch Plains, they did not simply surrender restaurant leadership to Westfield.

  3. Ordered takeout at mizu on the first night I lived in Cranford! We were very happy with our meals. Sushi is fresh and the hot dishes were excellent. The place is really nice too although I was only there to pick up food! I will definitely be back!

  4. Stopped here during my lunch break since I was in the mood for sushi. There's a parking lot around the corner in case you can't find a spot on the street. I was promptly greeted and seated by the door near the window. The restaurant is not large, but it's not too small either. There is a sushi bar with a few seats.

I had the lunch special of kampyo and avocado rolls with miso soup and a salad for $8.56… good deal! The rolls weren't anything fancy or spectacular but they satiated my hunger. I was bummed that they couldn't make the rolls without seaweed, but oh well. Wouldn't mind coming here again for lunch again. Nice place.

  5. I really enjoyed this place!! It's clean & has a nice atmosphere. Average pricing for the special rolls $11-13 and $5-6 for the regular rolls! Service was fast we have no complaints well def be back!! Another plus point is it's BYOB!! I'd def suggest to check it out we really loved it! That spicy salmon avocado app for $8 is AMAZiNG thank god a fellow Yelpie posted it!!

  6. I am so glad I had a craving for sushi and came here.

Very nice and clean place. Came on a Thursday after work. Ordered the usual for me, kani salad and philadelphia roll. The kani salad was good, could have used a bit more mayo to bind it all together but the texture was perfect. The philadelphia roll was Perfect. The fish tasted super super fresh. The kick on the roll was that there were chives in it. Oh man I can have more right now. Lovely place!

  7. I come here so often for take out and dining in that I have to update to 5 stars. My guy and I love their sushi and the waitstaff are so good to us. We've lived in town for a couple of years now and this is probably are most frequented spot.

  8. BF and I came here for a lunch date and we were very pleased with the food here. The sushi is very good and fresh for the price point. I ordered the American dream specialty roll (Shrimp tempura with spicy kani on top) a California roll and a chicken teriyaki lunch. The BF ordered the tri colored sushi. No complaints regarding anything and we both thought the food was very good. Highly recommend this place
