“Its also very reasonably priced habachi compared to places like Mt Fuji (which are too expensive and not so great).”
“At first they give you a Crab Rangoon, on the house along w/a side salad and miso soup, which all were delicious.”

Went here on a Groupon promotion so we had to give them a try. It was 60 Groupon worth of food for 30 bucks so can't complain on the deal. If you decide on the hibachi grill then you would have to make a reservation with them as they have limited space in that area. After looking at the menu I noticed that the hibachi was pretty expensive so the Groupon helped. The restaurant itself was quiet and calm setting it was not too noisy.
We ordered the Salmon dinner while the kids had the chicken dinner. The hibachi comes with crab rangoon's, side salad, and soup, while the dinner comes with fried rice, lo mein noodles, vegetables, and your meat of choice. I also ordered a side of avocado rolls as well which was fine. When the chef came out and started cooking the food our kids was engaged on what he was doing. It would be a nice experience for younger kids to enjoy if its their first them there. As far as the food goes, I felt the rice and lo mein were a bit salty for my taste but not a big deal at all. Overall, it was a nice experience but I recommend getting the Groupon if you can for the hibachi.
I've been here several times already. Free crab Rangoon, BYOB (always a plus), good sized portions. I like the Hibachi for special occasions– the guys put on an entertaining little show. Not bad for a casual lunch or dinner here and to fix a sushi craving. Friendly and quick service. Comfortable.
We ordered the Royal Cruise for 3 $75 to be delivered to our office. It included: 15 pieces of chef's choice sushi, 28 sashimi with three chef's special rolls. Served with soup or salad.
We had ordered it online, it came a little later than an hour but the delivery guy did apologize about it.
We actually split the order amongst 4 of us and it definitely filled us up! We were forcing the rest down – there was just so much food. And it came out gorgeous too and the sushi stayed in place through the delivery process.
Already planning to have another sushi party soon!
We ordered a Sushi Regular $19.50 and a Sushi Deluxe $21.50, a little bit on the spendy side. Understandable when the dishes arrived, as we found the fish super fresh and portions healthy. Nice people.
The Story: There is a groupon for this establishment right now. $18 for $30 worth of Hibachi and Sushi. This deal is only valid MON-THURS – was disappointing to learn that when I originally wanted Hibachi for dinner Friday night.
Food: I think everything was okay. I share my mother's view on hibachi – you can pretty much make everything at home on your own stove. I got the Mei Special which includes a cut of filet mignon (pretty tender), shrimp (I got extra shrimp!) and chicken. Their clear soup is decent and got free sample of crab ragoon.
Price: I think all hibachi is expensive (since we can make it at home) but the prices are about average for this food show.
Decor: I quite enjoy the decor – very clean and classy.
Service: I was reading other yelp reviews and noticed that some people had a wait for the hibachi chef. We waited a good 5 mins as well – I guess they are short staffed.
Parking & Finding the Place: Located in the strip mall in Haversack off route 80. Plenty of parking since it shares a parking lot with shoprite.
Additional Thoughts: Never really a big fan of Hibachi. Went because of groupon.
Was in the area and was with my brother. He said this place was good so we tried it.
It's a hibachi and sushi Resturant. We sat in the sushi section. The service was really good very friendly. I ordered the spicy salmon and rock shrimp roll. And ordered green tea. The servers were on top of refilling my tea. It wasn't that crowded at the time we went. The sushi came out and the presentation was nice. The spicy salmon was ok but there wasn't much salmon I tasted more tempura flakes. The rock shrimp was decent too. Not my favorite sushi spot but not the worst.
Came here with the family on a groupon deal and had the hibachi dinner. It's also a Chinese restaurant so if you choose not to do the hibachi grill, you can be seated at the booth. This place is located in a strip shopping area nearby Shoprite so there's plenty of parking. There's also additional parking in the back of the restaurant but you would have to walk to the front to get inside.
As soon as we're seated, we were greeted and given fried crab and cream cheese rangoon (a deal included for groupon diners). I ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner which came with onion and mushroom soup, side salad and then dinner plate of salmon teriyaki, two shrimps, fried rice, lo mein noodles and mixed vegetables. Overall, the food was okay. It was a little to salty for me as our great chef poured too much teriyaki sauce in the rice. I left the place feeling my blood pressure rising if you know what I mean.
Our host and hibachi chef kept us entertained. Because the typical flames like volcano flames, he asked if we wanted saki. If you answered yes, he'd take a bottle and squirt the saki from where he stood to you until you close your mouth. He also tried feeding and throwing food in the air for you to catch and eat. I rating 3 stars – 2 for the food and service and 1 for the entertainment.
Almost 5 stars BUT, i dont like how after making reservations..and seating us at the grill..the waitress told us this absurd rule that in order to sit at the hibachi grill there needs to be a TWO PEOPLE min. for the grill to be used. I ordered hibachi rice & my date ordered some steak/chicen hibachi dinnner..i was completely confused, she said my hibachi rice didnt count..it needed to be a dinner because apparently the usage of the gas is too expensive. Craziest rule ever to get us to spend more money. I wasnt that hungry but was more in the mood for sushi. She said she would let us order this time, but not again.
Anyway….. my rainbow roll was okay, avocado was too ripe and roll fell apart but fish tasted good. The seaweed salad was a huge portion and really good. it was on a bed of cucumber and not too salty. My hibachi rice was good! lots of egg and fried nicely. My date was happy with his food, steak was cooked great.
The star of this show is Ronni, our hibachi chef. He was fun, entertaining, and really went out of his way to make sure we received everything and anythign we needed. He was easy to talk to, made sure we always had water and certain sauces and deff put on a good show. id come back just for him!
BYOB!
