  1. I was a little torn in actually trying this place out because of the mixed reviews but, I decided to go for it. I decided to go with a couple of people on New Years Eve for some sushi and drinks. The sushi and apps were pretty good. The drinks were okay. The waitress was a little lazy, however. I wasn't very pleased with her service. She also got one of the orders wrong and brought something completely different. I'm hoping next time the we get someone willing to work to make the experience a delightful one all around. Four stars on the food.

  2. Would have given it five stars but went there Lastnight, vibes were cool and after we gave our waitress our card to pay the bill, came back and she literally harassed is for a tip. That turned me off!!!

  3. The food quality was excellent. Great service. We didn't have the habachi. Had 2 year old who might have likes it, but wasn't sure. Had a regular table with some delicious sushi. I had the crispy rice roll. It wasn't a roll. It was grilled square of rice with Tuna on top. The sushi was 5 stars. While I appreciate them tellin us there was no free refills when they offered us more soda, fountain soda is dirt cheap, and their should be free refills. I will be back often for the food. My son liked the fried nuggets off the kitchen app menu. Beautiful decor. Great place for a quiet date. Romantic.

  4. I had my daughters bday party there. The servers are very entertaining.the food is good but like most hibachi grills pricey.

  5. I've heard a lot of great things about this place and upon entering, the decor is pretty impressive especially for being in a mall. So I would give 5 stars for atmosphere, decor and ambience. I will also note that I'm a bit of a sushi snob…so I can be a little harder on the sushi places.

I ventured into this location as I was passing by and decided to try it for lunch. I wasn't unimpressed, but there was nothing distinctly amazing about the food. No special flavors or uniquely creative items….which is ok. But really, that left me to just grade Lumix on their quality of food which really was mediocre at best. So what did I order:

    Appetizers
    1) Shrimp Shumai – just normal, nothing too special
    2) Tuna Crackers – somewhat creative idea of spicy tuna on a cracker with some dried seaweed. I didn't particularly like the flavor or consistency of this very mushy spicy tuna. This made me not want to order sushi, but opt for a cooked meal.

    Entrees
    1) Lobster roll – not too exciting, again, a plain roll with fried lobster..
    2) Shrimp Fried Rice – might have been the best part of the meal. Is pretty good with a side teriyaki sauce
    3) Nabeyaki Soba Soup – I know that this soup is usually not really spicy and has a light flavor but the broth at this location was too much like yellow colored water. This is a very bland dish and because the noodles, small amount of vegetables and the tiny strips of chicken are not spiced something has to be added into this soup. Even the egg was tasteless. I've had this soup in many places and this was disappointing. The shrimp tempura was VERY oily and cold.

    Dessert
-For starters, the waitress couldn't answer any questions about any items on the dessert menu and when we suggested that she ask someone else she basically said that nothing is made on the premises so there is no way of knowing what is in it or how it tastes at all. We opted for something we knew, tiramisu…it was OK.

I will give credit to the restaurant for decor and for quick and attentive service (and the green tea is really good). But really, I wasn't impressed nor was anything particularly bad – just a bland, mediocre experience.

Sorry Lumix, you're pretty but not recommended.

  6. Enjoyed dinner here tonight with my little brother. Seated right away since it was only two of us. We also came here at 7:30pm so that probably added to our quick seating.

Came here once before and did hibachi so decided to do regular dinning instead. Susan was our waitress and she was super nice and attentive. Decor is nice. I like how they design the place to separate hibachi, normal dinning, and bar area. Bathroom is nice. It's one bathroom area with 4 stall (2 male and 2 female).

Food: overall great meal. Appetizer: crispy calamari. Not my favorite. Too crispy for me. Felt like I was eating fried bread. My brother liked it. Entree: LUMIX Roll. Great sample of different sushi. Also comes with Dragon roll (my fav) and spicy tuna! If it wasn't for the bad calamari I would have rated this 5 star.

  7. Not a bad place, but not my favorite in the area. This place is ALWAYS packed, the inside is pretty small. The staff isn't very courteous to people waiting, either. I've eaten here twice, the food and hibachi show was pretty standard. I've also come here a few times and literally just walked right back out because of the wait time.

Not bad, but not somewhere I'd wait an hour plus to eat,

  8. 3 birthday celebrations!!!
    1 huge baby shower!
1 graduate with her entire extended family!!!!!!
Yes, of course it was crowded and noisy!

As sexy, as spacious and as good an advantage they made of their expansive space, nothing could have prevented you from thinking you walked into a sports arena whose home team was clearly winning.
If you just want food you could be seated immediately but if you want "the show" the hostess said it would be a 40 min to an hour wait (Saturday evening) and despite all of the above I opted to wait. I mean why go to a hibachi restaurant in the first place?

I'm happy I waited. Thirty mins hadn't passed, my beverage not even half consumed when their beeper went off.

    I like:
    A. The space.
    B. The barman, I asked for a top up and he gladly obliged (on the house). Of course the reason I had to ask in the first place was they gave me a virgin LIIT, it was that weak.

    C. The chef, he wasn't very very entertaining but there was something sexy about him. Sadly, I don't think he recognised the looks I gave him.

    D. The food. Both the taste and portion size. Wonderful. I battled with getting sushi as well and was so happy I didn't. The amount of food they serve is really filling and then some! Nice and tasty made with love (maybe he did notice the looks I gave him).

    E. The unisex toilet area is clean with modern fittings. Spacious too.

    I don't like:
That they see it suitable to have all these celebrations happening at the same venue at the SAME GOTH DARN TIME! I think birthday celebration, cake even a little song and dance ala Red Lobster etc is cool. But the madhouse effect not so much! Yeah yeah I smiled with the baby, congratulated the graduate and blew a few birthday kisses (ala FLOTUS) cause can't beat them…. I HAD TO JOIN THE FUN OR LOOK stuck up and DUMB. Really you guys should have just closed off for private functionsssss! That was a greedy move. I actually saw potential diners walk in then leave but I cannot be sure if it was because of the crazy vibe or the weight time promised.

I still got mad love fuh yuh and you'll get the fifth star if it's a little more tranquil and I can actually have conversations on my second visit.

    The End.
