This is my usual go-to AYCE sushi spot. I've been here so many times. The sushi is good for AYCE. Just sometimes they miss rolls on your plate, so you have to be on the look out to make sure you have everything you ordered.
It gets pretty crowded here on the weekends, however there is a TJ MAX next door where I usually go to kill time while waiting.
Service is decent, not the worst. 23$ for AYCE, I'll take it!
This place is awesome, the all you can eat sushi was excellent and fairly priced. The specialty choices are the best around. I got octopus balls which I have not seen on any other menu and peppered salmon, which was slightly smoked with a pepper coating and cut thinly. The shashimi was extremely fresh, and had excellent color. There red bean ice cream was some of the best around. Overall my favorite all you can eat sushi spot in north jersey.
I haven't been here in quite some time but my friend and I were in the mood for sushi yesterday so we decided to take another stab at sushi village. We came around 1 pm and it was pretty dead which was nice for us because the staff was extremely attentive. We sat down in a booth and ordered a diet coke and a ginger ale (mind you this place is BYOB as well so take advantage of that)
When you sit down they hand you a pen and two pieces of paper with a listing of all the sushi and appetizers as well as desserts. We started by getting a ginger salad, kani seaweed salad, miso soup and a mushroom soup (not like hibachi soup more like miso with sliced mushroom). We also ordered some tempura shrimp (tasty but small) , tempura crab stick (not great), fried gyoza (very good), chicken terriaki, edamame, and my friend really enjoyed the peppered salmon appetizer.
Once we finished up all the appetizers we ordered a few sushi rolls and a few sushimi for my friend. I personally don't eat raw fish but they have a lot of rolls to choose from that have cooked ingredient. A few of my favorites are the shrimp tempura roll, soft shell crab roll, spicy crab, and some sort of lobster roll.
One thing to be sure of is order as you go because if you don't finish you will be charged for wasting food.
Week days the price is $20.99 and on weekends its $22.99 I believe.
An excellent choice for a sushi buffet in NJ. They don't have many places like this that let you order off a menu and have the sushi made fresh.
The rolls are very limited but there is enough to keep you satisfied and full. We tried The lunch menu and it was excellent. Ordered about six rolls and a few apps. Left very full.
The wait staff can be hard to communicate with but its not a big deal.
I would recommend this place if your looking to have above average sushi and walk out full.
The food itself is a solid 3, but if you're judging this place in comparison to other AYCEs in Bergen County, then this is definitely one of the better ones.
The hot kitchen items are generally pretty good, although I've had experiences in the past where ordering "1" quantity of something gets interpreted differently, depending on which chef they've got in the back receiving my order. Same for the sashimi… sometimes it feels like they're just guesstimating the # of pieces, rather than giving me exactly what I ordered.
However, the sushi is very average to below average. Mediocre in freshness, and there is absolutely no effort put into the creation of the rolls. The 'sushi rice' comes straight out of the rice cooker – not real sushi rice. BUT, this is basically the same in any AYCE you end up in this area, so I can't hold this too much against them.
I only go there now when I can find a coupon. I used to enjoy AYCE but now I personally prefer going to a great restaurant where it's not AYCE but I know the quality and freshness will be above par. If I'm going to cough up 20+ bucks for sushi I want it at least to be good and carefully crafted.
love this place, good options! Great rolls! decor is nice but seating is very dense. If you are looking for a good AYCE sushi place definitely come here. Don't expect attentive service but they get the job done! Squid BBQ app is AMAZING.
Bad service? Luckily, this place is BYOB, so you can drown your frustrations away with some wine or sake.
Bad service? Good thing you'll be too busy to notice as you're chowing down on AYCE sushi/noodles/pork belly/other Asian food.

Bad service? Suck it up. It's an AYCE Asian place. It's synonymous with bad service.
Average tasting sushi. The all you can eat is interesting but you are limited to how you can order it. Place is nice inside and the staff was friendly. It has its following and isn't bad for the occasional cheaper sushi meal. Just don't compare it to other local sushi spots and you'll be fine.
