Good food. They have fancied this place up in the last year or so. But I would say the prices have gone up too. The chimichanga was crisp and tasty, though the carnitas were a bit grissly. The service is good and the waitresses were nice.
I stopped here on the way to Garden Gnome Night at Citi Field, looking to avoid the increasingly long lines and mediocre food at what was once New York's best food stadium.
Now I know there's better one stop down, underneath the 7 train. I enjoyed the full selection of agua frescas available, a big step up from the one or two flavors available in my native Bushwick. I went with melon, sipping on the oversized Styrofoam container while deciding what to order.
Journeying out so far to sample the menu means added pressure, as it is unclear when there will be a return visit. I have to pass on the tortas, quesadillas and cemitas in favor of something I've had just one time before – tacos arabes, the spicy rolled pieces of pork that are from Pubelo.
They arrive, piquant and very hot, just a few minutes after placing the order. They require none of the leftover salsa from the free chips that arrive earlier. Despite being dry, they are very flavorful, with both the fat of the meat and dry rub seasoning making for very satisfying eating.
No while some of the other reviews on the site express concerns about the price point, from my outsider's perspective, a bill of under $10 for such a big meal (I could have easily brought some home if I wasn't headed past Citi security) is more than fair. Perhaps these people could open up a concession inside the park; I'd certainly be a customer.
This is definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to and its in the heart of Corona Queens I met my buddy Sal for lunch and man o man what an enormous portion of pure deliciousness. My buddy ordered the chicken tacos and I had 2 tongue and 1 lamb taco. Look at the pictures. This place is a winner. Just bring a bulletproof vest cause it's in the ghetto. Definitely put this spot on your bucket list if your in the area.
4am going to the airport, hungry and in need of quick delicious mexican tacos.
the place is a hole in the wall and at 4am only one guy manning the crowds that come out of the clubs to eat. only about 5 bar stools and limited drinks.
tacos and quesadillas are great, and will want to wanna make you come back for more.

Delivery was 30 minutes early. Off to a great start! After putting in a 70# work week, I was starved and just wanted some comfort food. I was really in the mood for pasta and this restaurant was my only option. Hesitatingly, I ordered the penne alla vodka with grilled chicken.
I was pleasantly surprised! The penne was overcooked. So much so, that it didn't stay on the fork, it kinda just fell apart. Other than that it was quite good! The grilled chicken was awesome. Perfectly cooked with a good grill flavor. The sauce had a tad too much tomato and a tad too little cream. But overall the flavor was decent. The slices of garlic in the sauce were delicious. It also came with what looked like a toasted hamburger bun. (Weird?) Baguette, Italian bread, ciabatta whatever. Anything would have been a better choice.
Overall a good meal with quick delivery. I would definitely order from here again.
2 Modelos, a steak burrito, nice side of salad, and a free bowl of crispy thick tortilla chips with some very tasty salsa for $20. That's a pregame I can appreciate!
After finding free parking for the game, you are immersed in the rich Latin American cultures of Mexico, Equador and other countries all sampling their cuisines, nightclubs, and businesses. From street vendors with tables, food carts, and stores, competition is growing, and this restaurant I visited seemed like they knew they had to step up their game.
I was very happy and satisfied with my meal here, and will love to return for another pregame dinner.
