  1. When your food is so salty it burns…
Chivo/Goat tacos – couldn't taste the goat, too much salt.
Chorizo tacos were decent, with chunks of  chorizo cut up and the hommade guacamole on top. So whoever the chorizo supplier is, they should tip him extra.
Enchiladas should have been called saltchiladas. Some promise here for a better platter.
Flauntas were a fail, how do you burn the all meat inside without burning the shell on the outside?

Its a new place, hopefully they go lighter on the salt next time.

  2. They might not be the sexiest tacos in Corona, but they'll make do over the usual drab taquerias in other boroughs. Nuevo Tacos Al Suadero might be more nuevo (new) than its older Jackson Heights brother (yelp.com/biz/tacos-al-su…), but they handle the goods in the same good ol meat loving fashion.

The space is small like many other nearby taco spots. With just enough seating for you and a couple others, bringing the appetite and plenty of cash should do just fine to order a little of what they are known for: no nonsense, pueblan style tacos. Beware of the chivo, chorizo, mixtos filings, they're not always up to par.

Instead, focus on carnitas, the fried stewed meat of glorious pork, which combined with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of cilantro, creamy picante over a lightly grilled tortilla makes any carnivore squeal with delight. The same could be said for the lengua (tongue) or cabeza (head), which though more expensive and in limited quantity, provide a similar outcome.

Ironically, tacos might not be their best sell. The tortas reign supreme with their generous toppings and depending on whatever protein one chooses, stuffed as much as the bread will hold. Since most of the meat has been finely chopped / crumbly, even a tooth pick won't hold the best of em. Be prepared for a sloppy, $5 meal of Mexican sammy goodness.

Lastly, while they're open late, the best time to come is during the afternoon when the crowds are gone and the food is at its optimal fresh meter. There is something redeeming about frequenting Corona without the masses and it often lies in food like the ones here in New Al Suadero. Pasale.
