We took a risk on this one. The only reason we made it in here was because we couldn't find a different place that a friend had recommended and this place had a "2 for 1 margarita" sign prominently displayed outside (which we later found to only be true Sunday – Thursday…a bit annoying).
I ended up having a beef quesadilla and my girlfriend had a HUGE burrito covered in some icky "chocolate-based" sauce. She may have liked it but I think it was icky.
The margaritas were tasty but a little small. Nine bucks for a margarita would be fine during the 2 for 1 deal, but when they're all by their lonesome on my table, it's not quite worth it. I'd much rather have a margarita that has a friend with it…
My food and margaritas were very tasty, which is the only reason for the 3 stars. The service was pretty much bad, and there was one point where a frustrated bar tender damn near brought us our drinks herself because her waitresses were doing god knows what. I do like the ambiance of this place, but probably wouldn't come back here unless I was looking for the 2 for 1 margarita deal…
I came here looking for a good Mex restaurant in the Upper West Side. For din, I had the enchiladas del mar (with shrimp, scallops and crab over cream sauce) – and it was pretty scrumptious!
There's also a 2 for 1 margs deal Sunday – Thursday; but I still tried the sangria.
I liked the framed wall art decor in the restaurant.
The available outdoor seating would make this a good choice for din on a summer night.
