  1. This resteraunt has the BEST service you will ever receive.  When you call to make a reservation you're greeted with pure kindness and by someone who is looking to genuinely accommodate you.

The ambience is quite nice, very modern and rustic at the same time wonderful for a special occasion or romantic date night.

There are a few locations, there are three in NYC and this location in LI.  At first, I was skeptical to come here because it was at Roosevelt field mall.  However, to my surprise it was an amazing time.

My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday here, when I made the reservation I told them it was a birthday. When we got there, the table was decorated l, they wrote him a card and greeted him with birthday wishes.

We had the calamari for an appetizer, it was a large portion and all you taste is butter…it was SO GOOD. The marinara they gave us was spicy and added a great kick. The server served us our calamari, we didn't have to lift a finger she just kept re filling our plates.

I had the chef's special lobster tails and steak. I am a lobster lover, I have it as much as I can and I must say I haven't had such a great lobster in a very long time. It was perfectly cooked tasted like butter and was in a cream sauce with the perfect mixture of sweet and salty. Now I am not a steak person but the steak I had was pretty delicious. I eat ALOT and I couldn't even finish my entire meal.

My boyfriend had the aged dry porterhouse steak. I tasted some of it and it was so juicy.  He is a steak man, everywhere he goes he has a steak and he said he enjoyed it very much.

For aides, we had the au gratin potatoes, parmesan fries and creamed spinach. The potatoes were very tasty and even though I didn't try the fries I am told 5hay they were the best fries he's ever had.

After dinner, we didn't have room for dessert but still ordered a creme Brulee as it is both of our favorites and we decoded to share . The resteraunt brought out our creme Brule as well as a dessert platter for my boyfriend. The platter had chocolate cake, coconut custard, fruit and was decorated with happy birthday written in chocolate. Now I've had creme Brulee in Paris so it doesn't get much better than that but this creme Brulee was to die for. The chocolate cake that was on the dessert platter was AMAZING, it melted in your mouth like butter…all of the desserts were really great. So great, I wish had more room to eat all of it.

The resteraunt also gave us complimentary champagne for his birthday. My boyfriend doesn't drink so I had to have it for both of us and I must say they didn't give us the cheap stuff it was great!

The prices are average NYC prices for a steak house. I think it is worth every penny.

They offer valet parking for $7 and there is a ton of self parking options if you don't want anyone to drive your car.

Aside from the good food, nice ambience and great service I must say the waitress that we had was very accommodating. I was so pleased I over tipped her and didn't even feel bad about it.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and have intentions of going back for all of our special occasions.

I give this resteraunt 5 stars across the board and definitely recommend as a MUST try!

    enjoy 🙂

  2. Was that's least evening for a dinner party.  The service was excellent as well as the food.  We ordered multiple platters of crab meat and lobster as appetizers. For dinner I had their 22oz bone in rib eye (porcini) cooked rare. It was perfect.  Delicious and very tender.

  3. Excellent service and attentive wait staff. Menu has a great variety of seafood and meat options. I came to eat steak and lots of it!  Husband ordered the bone in Rib Eye with the chef's suggested porcini rub and 15 yr aged balsamic. It was tender and juicy cooked perfectly at Medium rare. The restaurant knew it was our wedding anniversary and didn't skimp on the service. Even provided a beautiful dessert sampler. Enjoyed our dinner a lot.

  4. 3.5 stars

Service: Our waitress disappeared after taking our drink orders and we had to ask a different server to locate her to take our order. I was unimpressed with how inattentive she was throughout our entire stay.

Ambiance: Even though the restaurant wasn't full on a weekday night, they seated by a large party with a loud and obnoxious drunk woman. We were surely the odd ones in the restaurant. Expect an older Caucasian crowd.

Food: you MUST get the Porcini rubbed bone in ribeye (aka the 15-year aged balsamic steak). It was one of the best, if not the best, steaks I've ever had. It was amazing even despite the chunks of fat in it. I finished it off for our table 🙂 We also got the wedge salad and Lobster Mac n cheese, neither of which were noteworthy. I didn't have the truffle Parmesan fries but the others at my table enjoyed them.

  5. Oh hey Long Island! I know, we're not very fond of each other. But every once in awhile I find myself visiting, so maybe just be cool about it, OK?

I'm not a fan of chains, and Darden is responsible for unleashing the Olive Garden on us all, so that was weighing on my mind as I pondered the 4 star rating you fellow Yelpers graced this place with. I was short on time and options, and it was close, so me and my friend went.

No regrets. In fact, I was pretty impressed.

The french onion soup is solid, the cheese was especially tasty. The bacon and Brussels sprouts are good but I thought they could have used more bacon- but then what couldn't use more bacon? Maybe this isn't a valid criticism, we will never know. The pork belly appetizer came out a little over-seared on the top but was otherwise delicious. Rich and tender and all the things pork belly should be.

The lobster mac n cheese and the roasted chicken are not worth ordering. The chicken is bland and over cooked (who orders chicken at a steakhouse? My budget conscience friend is who, his own damn fault if you ask me). The lobster in the mac is also over-cooked, not generously portioned, and the cheese is just heavy without being flavorful.

But the steak is what you come for, and that's what I'm writing about. I got the porterhouse, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was so good that I tried to eat it long after I was full and could not force it down my throat, I had to take home leftovers which made everyone in the break room at work jealous the next day. Nice salad ya got there losers.

Service was ridiculously nice. The place is classy without being cold. The food is worth the price, but I do think it's a place where knowing what to order is important.

  6. Great chain steak house, consistent food.

  7. Lobster bisque was good, lobster Mac and cheese was great, and the steak with Gorgonzola was delicious. It was $200+ for two people. The waiter was a little interesting but overall food was good. Was it worth the money for the amount of food we got? I don't know. But it's worth it to try this place at least one time.

  8. Celebrated a someone's mum's 70th here.

We had a reservation for about 8/10 people. We were on time and seated quickly. Our servers never smiled, not once. Maybe it was the glare from our cutlery that made them just squint at us.

Service was smooth and food was good. For my entrée I had a medium done steak with a baked potato and veg and it was divine. I especially loved how they did my potato, just right. My meal was muy succulenté jajaja.  Everyone said their meal was superb too.

I would have had a much better time if I was in different company though.
    1. I knew no one except my boyfriend at the time
    2. Everyone else was like 100 years old (except the birthday girl who turned 70).
AND 3. I dare not pull out my phone for yelp pics! The old foggies would have raised what was left of their eyebrows and I didn't want that! No ma'am!

I wouldn't mind returning with more comfortable company.
I hate doing reviews like this, I would really have liked to give more info but  yelp kept poking me in my ribs for this review which I started so here it is yelp…..here's your review, you can stop with the pokes now. The pokes hurt, that's why I left FASbook.
