I have had the pleasure of shutting this place down from time to time. Stop in because the owner is a local businessman who grew up in the city. Stay because the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and you're likely to encounter some great (often local) talent at open mic on Fridays.

I love this place and the potential it has. The event I attended was awesome in that it was for a great cause and the set up was nice. Unfortunately the venue was unable to accommodate everyone food wise, but instead of being disappointed I actually understood that for a charity event they may not have been prepared for such a great turn out. So I was unable to eat but that was not my main reason for attending. The owner was very present ( Hi Mike) and seemingly trying to ensure things were running smoothly. I was able to park in the lot and take the shuttle to the venue which was great. Sound wise, and visually everything was on point and Jacksonville was a great host. I will absolutely attend this place again, consider it to host an event for myself, and continue to support a local business.
The potential is there, but just needs improvements on organizing. Reservations were not accounted for, and we had to be squeezed in due to a large party. Entry fee was paid in advance, and we sat in an area where we couldn't see the entertainment. On one of the hottest days of the summer we were in an area without air conditioning. Waitress spilled our drinks on our shoes ( honest mistake). Asked what was a customer favorite for entrees and drinks…didn't know. Everything was sour until open Mic and the food arrived. Ribs mac and cheese were pretty good. Drinks were good but not strong. My friends enjoyed the catfish and salmon. I'm not close to the area so won't make it an event to return unless it was an occasion of someone else's. Overall not bad.
