Fresco Tortillas
“Within 45-60 second the guy was at my door with my food!”
“It's way on the cheap side and a to go or delivery only place as far as I'm concerned (they do have tables, but you'd want to skip the ambiance).”

At times, I can be lazy and lounge around my house all day until I realize I'm hungry. I read the reviews on yelp and didn't think it was possible.
I called them to make an order, hung up the phone, went to the kitchen to get a gulp of water. Then I went to my bed to grab my purse and find something I was looking for.
Buzz! They came in record time. It was pretty scary but I'm happy I'm eating right now.
Tex-Mex fans, meet Chino-Mex.
You see folks, the only way Chino-Mex works is when the munchies are at all time high and your intolerance for faux Tex-Mex is at an all time low. Fancy Tex-Mex, this is not. Newbies to the Fresco/Fresca Tortillas chain ought to know fancy cattle meats (barbacoa, cabrito, etc.) of the southwest ranching culture won't be available. It's really just beef or chicken or blackbeans cooked in pork fat (sorry vegans).
Don't order in Spanish. Those Spanish classes you took in high school or the Spanish profanities you picked up along la calle are utterly useless here. Inquiries about "la pinche de la cocina" after sampling the blackbean burrito will get you absolutely no where. Just trust me on this.
That said, it's really fast food mex. Similarly to Chinese-American food, this is the Chino take on Mexican food. Abundant food at insanely cheap prices, with little to zero attention to presentation details and lightning fast delivery times. Sure, it all sounds good, but only when you notice the brand new Don Julio bottle is half empty. What, you're the only one drinking? ¡Diablos!
Gourmet it's not. So what?
Here's the thing about take-out: Usually, it takes so damn long to arrive that by the time the delivery guy rings my buzzer, I'm no longer hungry cause I've eaten half a box of dry cheerios while waiting for my food to arrive.
But that's not the case with Fresco. They are so fast it's kinda eerie — thus giving me time to call in my order and wolf down a couple tacos before the guilt of lazily ordering takeout rather than cooking for myself sets in.
Yeah, the food is kinda like cafeteria food– a slop of black beans, an ice cream scoop of rice — but in a good way. I mean, wasn't Taco Day the best day of the week when you were in grade school?
Sure, the prices have gone up slightly. But Fresco is still a bargain. Hey, for those light fluffy tortilla shells, I'd pay any price!
Hm, could have been unlucky, but. Ordered delivery once and all the meat we had in our burrito and quesadilla were brunt. If it were not for this, their food would be mediocre at best. I do not think being cheap saves them from terrible meat nor soggy tacos.
