I came across TJ's while heading to work. I was starting late that day due to just getting back in town and pulled in to the tiny lot off Tuskeegee Airmen way. I knew there was a pizza place in the lot and a couple of other joints, but hadn't had time to see what was actually there. Behold, TJ's!
I kept it simple an ordered fried chicken and string beans, and the meal came with rice and corn bread. I grabbed a couple of hot sauce packets on my way out. The two ladies working there were really sweet. It's a new place, so it wasn't heavily decorated. It felt like someones home, inviting.
Diving into the meal at work, and it was clear the chicken was really great. Tender, moist, and wonderfully flavored. Adding hot sauce and it was even better. The string beans were cooked to perfection and the rice was a perfect addition. The corn bread at the end of the meal was still warm, and definitely hit the spot.
