The Old Time Vincent’s
“The prices are also extremely reasonable compared to other Italian restaurants in Queens.”
“The clams, whether on the half-shell or baked, were great – just as good as Lenny's. I think their specialty is their red sauce, you can choose from a sweeter or spicy one, both were great.”
“I have been to Vincent's in Carle Place, Manhattan and Howard Beach, this location is the best by far.”

Not a bad place to get seafood with decent prices and good service. Their sauce is incredible and if you like it spicy then the medium spicy is what you want cause the hot is lava hot almost to the point where its not enjoyable to eat. My favorite item on the menu is anything steamed whether it be calamari, shrimp or scungilli with sauce on top. This is where my wife and I go when we are in the mood for seafood, don't have reservations for any place and don't want to spend alot of money. I would recommend it.
If you're in Howard beach and want a no frills place to eat delicious Italian food, this place is worth checking out.
The baked clams were cooked in butter, seasoning and bread crumbs. They served as a great starter for our meal.
The lasagna was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed eating it with the sweet sauce. It had the right proportion of cheese, meet and pasta.
The calamari with linguini was pretty good.
I was a little disappointed by the fact that this restaurant did not accept the check in on Yelp deal. If you come here expecting that extra 10 off, be prepared to be rejected by the waitress.
Other than that, prices are not too bad for good Italian food.
Came here with my family on a Friday afternoon around 1. The place was empty. They're known for their spicy sauce which we all thought was delicious. We got the shrimp cooked in the spicy sauce, chicken cutlet parm on a hero, pasta and sauce, jalapeño poppers, and mozzarella sticks. It was overall a good Italian meal, not bland (which is what I'm used to getting at local pizzarias).
We got a pitcher of red sangria to share – not much alcohol or fruits in it. Wasn't really worth it. The service wasn't too good. Considerating it was empty, they really should've been more attentive.
If I ever eat here again, it'll be for take out because the food itself was good.
I've been wanting to eat here forever, the outside looks really cute and it makes me want to turn back time to 1954 and pull up in a Coupe de Ville. So one night last winter before Christmas the BF and I pulled in after some serious holiday shopping at Queens mall, food and wine were desperately needed.
For a Sunday at 7, we were 1 of only 2 tables. I felt bad for the waitresses because there were about 4 of them. Considering the restaurant had about 12 or 14 tables, this seemed like a bit of an overkill. We had a carafe of wine that was $17 which was pretty average for this neighborhood and some free bread along with oil and herbs was placed out for us to munch on while we wait. They do get a point for the oil and herbs, it's nice to have other options other than the frozen pat of butter usually thrown in. I ordered the Seafood Fra Diavolo and he ordered the Chicken Francese.
The Fra Diavolo was on the lame side. I noticed one other reviewer made the same surmise and they were correct, it's especially disappointing when this is a beach town and there is literally a dock off the back of this restaurant. I like sauce too, but you can't give me a half portion of pasta then drench my food. I like the pasta too and over-drenchery is greatly frowned upon by me The Francese was okay, neither terrible nor outstanding. As S put it, "it's food, you know?" Brilliant. (Hey, not everyone was made to be a thorough yelper!)
I've been going to Vincent's for years now, I absolutely love their Linguine and fried shrimp and it's mainly because they have the most amazing pasta sauce around; it's very thick and rich and I can't seem to ever find another Italian restaurants sauce that can compare with Vincent's. I've been ordering the same dish for years now and I don't really know what any of there other dishes taste like. They have a mild, medium and hot pasta sauce and the "hot" is truly hot 🙂
