One of my favorite places in Nyc. It's one of those unassuming places that look dingy and divey- then you go in and eat some of the best food you've ever had, and are waited on by the nicest people in Nyc.
There's 2 sides, one is the fresh fish for sale, (i love the salmon) and then the other side is the mini restaurant where they prepare the fresh seafood in a million different delicious ways. Seafood soup is my boyfriends fav, mine is the fresh fish fillet (in butter and garlic) with steamed veggies. They will try their best to accomadate you too which is awesome. I eat really healthy so they leave off the butter and use different seasonings to make it taste just as good, and one night I got raw oysters and asked for crackers, he didnt have any, but 5 mins later he comes to the table with tortilla chips he put in the oven to make crispy… how nice is that?
The fish is really fresh, they put love into what they cook (those ppl can COOK too) and I love the un trendy atmosphere. It's refreshing. I love the people, esp the owner. I eat here or get fish to cook at home from here, at least 3 nights a week. I tell my friends about it, and would recommend it to anyone. Everything I've had has been really good so whatever you order is guaranteed to be good.
