Visited my go to Mexican spot in the neighborhood. It's really not an ideal location so you might miss it when you drive by. There is some street parking and limited parking in the back. No liquor available so BYOB!
Their prices are reasonable, their service is great and the food is delicious! Today we kept it simple and ordered the Nachos Grande (beef) for an appetizer and an everything taco and a regular taco )it comes 3 tacos per order). Everything was great! Fresh, some spice and flavorful too.
Although I didn't order it today, I highly recommend the fried whole red snapper!!! You will not be disappointed.
I just read Joshua W. review before I started mine. I started off with a 3 star, but dropped another star because I honestly want to give a 1 star too but to be fair, I liked my dish, everything else just sucked.
Yes, I get it's Cinco de Mayo, but guess what? You plan accordingly on holidays. We called 5 places before coming here, and this place had a 30 min wait for 4 people so since I called ahead I was able to make a "reservation"…basically by the time we got there we only waited 5 mins to get seated. once seated, we waited…………30 mins for water!
When the waiter came back again we ordered drinks and food, right away so that we did not have to wait any longer. We asked for chips and salsa refill twice and finally got it after another long wait. Luckily I was with some fun people, so convo was going, but I was starving by the time we got our food. i got chicken flautas and I killed my plate, now I don't know if it was because I was starving or what but I enjoyed them, the other guests at my table got – chimichangas – was not good, chicken with mole sauce – was good, sampler platter – the guest liked it, but I tried a bite of all items and I didn't like anything.
Service was horrible, food was okay…. I won't come back on a non holiday to give them a chance….next time Mi Rancho – plan your staff properly during holidays!
Pleasantly surprised and BYOB! My wife and I went to mi Rancho for dinner last night. Place is very cosy and has a home feel to it. I ordered the steak mi Rancho burrito my wife got the chicken fiesta salad. I love how they give the rice and beans on the side and filled the burrito up with steak and sauteed veggies. It was very good. My wife got the fiesta chicken and salad and the chicken was well cooked and not dry at all. Both meats very well seasoned. Service was good. We will be back again!
