As awesome as it gets, indeed. Second time ordering from here and I expanded my selection.
Got the Spicy Mang Roll (again), Piece Sampler (Rice-less Maki rolls), Fun Guy (dumplings), and a blueberry lemonade. I enjoyed it all but my favorites were The Piece Sampler (especially the Charred corn with harrisa and cilantro), which is cool because you get to try various flavors and the Fun Guy, which had a delicious combo of flavors. I don't think the blueberry lemonade tasted like blueberry but it was all still delightful.
Seriously wish this chain would open in the North Jersey area. Healthy, tasty, and creative are a mere few words to describe my love for this place. Customer service was really nice over the phone when I placed the order. Delivery was extremely fast.

I had a Pickle Me roll and seaweed salad, while my friend had the green crunch wrap, which had noodles in it. My roll was pretty to look at and tasted good, too (though the texture was a little hard due to the carrots). I actually liked the wrap better – will get my own next time. Super healthy so this is a good spot to keep in mind if you feel like eating clean!
I almost wish Beyond Sushi just offered a sampler platter of all of their dishes. They take veggie sushi way out of the avocado-cucumber-tofu box. If authenticity is your thing I might look elsewhere but if you're looking for chef-designed pieces with relatively inexpensive price tags in a casual environment, look no further. Suffice it to say, I think fish-eaters could definitely enjoy it nearly as much as I did.
The next best thing to trying all of their sushi is getting the four piece sampler. In hindsight, I wish I spent a little more time on each one because each one was so different. My favorite was the harissa corn piece, with the cauliflower and almond pesto piece also being quite a standout. I paired those four pieces with the Mighty Mushroom roll which was incredible. The shiitake truffle sauce on it was bursting with flavor and it was definitely the most inventive and possibly the best mushroom roll I've ever had.
I also loved that their rolls all come with black or multi-grain rice. Again, I know it's not the most authentic sushi out there but it brought each roll more crunch and flavor. At the risk of sounding totally bougie, these folks know how to bring out a flavor profile.
Having so many delicious sushi choices felt like such a luxury! Now if only Boston can get a place like this…
Ok I want to start this review by saying, I am not vegan or vegetarian. I love sushi, and this place still rocks my world. The food is so fresh and flavorful, you don't even miss the fish! Some of it even tastes like actual fish sushi, despite it being all veggies. Their little nigiri sized sushi is delicious. I would highly recommend the dumplings, especially the mushroom ones(can't remember the name sorry!) The rolls are quite good too. The rice is a perfect texture. I also love the Nutty Buddy wrap. The creamy nutty flavor combined with the sweet savory soy is so good!
Long story short – even if you are a meat/fish lover, give this place a try. It will be well worth it.
Vegan sushi basically seems like a crime to me, but Beyond Sushi provides a high quality alternative that is worth trying at least once. Plus, if you want a healthy meal that isn't salad, this is definitely a good option. All the rolls are made with purple rice (which I've been told is much healthier than white rice), veggie, mushroom, nuts, or fruit.
The mighty mushroom roll is the best non-fish sushi I have ever had. If you are a mushroom lover, you will definitely enjoy the perfectly cooked mushroom! The spicy mang was pretty good as well but just having mango in my sushi was perhaps a bit too light for me.
At the end of the day, I am too much of a sushi purist to ever want to eat this over real sushi, but if I am looking for an alternative to a salad, Beyond Sushi would be my choice.
I'm a pretty big fan of vegetarian sushi – I'll still take a good sashimi any day; but a veg sushi roll hits almost the same spots for me, and Beyond Sushi just makes me love it even more.
The thing about this place is that it's really creative and comes up with combinations you'd never thought of before in the context of sushi. As someone who loves sushi but only ate traditional types growing up, I found the rolls here really inventive – and delicious, to boot. My favorite is the Mighty Mushroom because I am a mushroom fiend, but the Sweet Tree tastes awesome as well with its hint of sweet potato. On the other hand, Spicy Mang is somewhat bland since the mango surprisingly doesn't stand out among the other components, not to mention it's not quite as filling as the others. The tailored sauce that comes with each roll pairs very well, however – I was impressed at the thoughtfulness for each selection, especially for a 'fast food' type of place.
Overall, everything is very fresh and tasty, and you can count on it to be healthy and visually appealing too! Perfect for the gram.
New York is a time for complete and utter gluttony, but if you're in the mood for a cleanse, head on over to Beyond Sushi. I came here twice for the very same dish: the MIGHTY SHROOM ROLL. If you love mushrooms, then you'll be more than satisfied with 8 pieces of the MIGHTY SHROOM ROLL, a purple-rice roll stuffed with shiitake, portobello, and topped off with a truffle cream sauce. The service was very quick (10 minutes or less) and the roll was very affordable at $6.75.
I was browsing through uber eats, when I came across beyond sushi, and the menu sounded amazing and the photos looked so delicious, that I didn't even bother to look up reviews!!
The food arrived promptly and I dug in. The presentation of my food, despite being delivered, was on point! Two of my dishes are usually presented with sauce on top, and beyond sushi provided a cool little applicator with sauce inside so I could dress my food appropriately! It was so nice
I ordered the spicy shroom, the spicy mang and the carrot side salad and they were all spicy and delicious. It was also more than enough food to feed two people comfortably! I will definitely be ordering from here again!
