Returned for a late lunch (the last time I was here for food was probably 2 years ago although I do stop in at night from time to time)
3 stars is still accurate.
The food and drinks are okay, nothing crazy. I had the mac and cheese (with truffle oil) on my last visit and my friend went with the steak tid bits. Both were good, standard bar grub, although I remember the food being much better than expected in the past. We ordered off their drink menu as well which wasn't impressive so I would say stick to beer or well drinks. The food is not what it once was but the service has improved tremendously. Both the hostess and our server were super friendly and attentive.
I can't pinpoint what it is but I feel like over the last couple of years Beach House has become more divey/sports bar-like, dingy, and on par with Cannon's Blackthorn (not a compliment). Even the back patio – something changed and now it's just less beach-like. They don't optimize the space at all and picnic tables are just scattered throughout. It used to be more aesthetically appealing. Maybe this is the case because now at night it becomes a more college/crowded/drunken mess (not necessarily a bad thing, but similar to Kasey's, Cannon's Blackthorn, etc.)
Truthfully, there are so many other options within walking distance that you can really do better eating elsewhere. But not a bad stop if you're bar crawling your way around RVC on a Thurs/Fri/Sat night (but usually with a $5 cover)
I like this spot.
It starts off as a pub and even though you won't see it coming it eases into a nightclub. Smooth transition.
Come early if you want to have a snack on a Friday evening, as kitchen closes at 10pm.
Music could have been softer in the early stages. It also didn't help that they have a DJ that screams happy birthday (when he learns it's your day) good fun though.
There's a "back room" (back of the spot covered with a tent and surrounded by tarpaulin. Cool chill out space.
My friend and I had LIITs and they were good!
$25 drink minimum to keep an open tab.
The End.
Still a solid choice, new menu. Same great service the best music in the background us always amazing and great house cocktail selection absolutely a great choice if you want a low key chill place
This place is solid. It's good place for a beer with some friends and the food has never disappointed. Beach House has a cool beach vibe, even though it is sort of in the middle of a busy bar strip. It's beachy in so much as they have a few surfboards on the ceiling and an endless summer poster but on warm days when the front is open its a cool place to hang out. i wouldn't sit outside (front) as the tables are wobbly but out back they just out in some bear garden like picnic tables.
I like this place because the menu changes somewhat seasonally, and their bar food staples are pretty good. I really like the teriyaki wings but I'm not a fan of any of their other flavors. The wings are big, crispy and juicy, but fall flat when they are not covered with the sticky teriyaki sauce and finished with sesame seeds. The burger here is very respectable, and is served on a pretzel bun. My wife likes the flat breads, but I usually only eat what she doesn't. She loves the spinach dip. It's served with corn tortillas and is definitely enough to share. I think I can remember getting the tidbits (steak/chicken) too, and they were quite good too.
A nice summer day will be better spent here than some of the RVC spots. Come check it out.
After reviewing the Long Beach location had to come here w some good friends to kick back and enjoy Taco Tuesday!lol it didn't disappoint, although the place was quiet they had some good hockey games going on the big flat screens and Carla our gracious host/bartender really took care of us! She was super friendly and provide a great service throughout .The margaritas she made were phenomenal especially at only 6 bucks! I kept going back between them and the specially priced 4 dollar coronas, then it was onto the 1 dollar,2 dollar,& 3 dollar tacos I had one of each chicken beef and fish and they were amazing!really tasty with good crunch on the tacos and just the right amount of seasoning on the beef poultry and fish,The check for the 3 of us came out to less than $100 and we couldn't be more pleased, they have specials every day of the week and we will definitely be back real soon to partake!
I am constantly looking for hot spots on LI and the city that are cheap and good for dancing.
This place might just be a medium-sized dark room but the atmosphere is memorable. I've only been here a few times and honestly had a much better time listening to music then I did at the much bigger, fancier clubs. The DJ has a great, fun light-hearted personality which always knows how to keep the party going!
Great beachy indoor and outdoor ambiance. Friendly staff. Great food. An overall hit!
Came here on a Tuesday night, it was nice, not too crowded. Ordered a few drinks and appetizers. Every appetizer was amazing. There wasn't anything that we didnt like. The burrata beach caprese had an amazingly delicious balsamic glaze on it, the peach sriracha wings were bursting with flavor, and the crispy calamari was fresh and not rubbery.
This is a nice place to come meet up with friends and catch up or a fun little date. Its definitely worth checking out if your in the area.
Saturday night review:
My friend and I stopped by the Beach House on our night of bar hopping around Rockville Centre. It started out slow but got packed soon enough. The drinks are very good and service is quick. The space is a bit cramped. The people aren't young and attractive, if that is what you are going for. We also went once earlier in the night and there was no cover, and then we went later on and there was a $5 cover. I think I'd return to try their mussels, which I saw fliers for all around.
