  1. I just have two comments: 1. the service is tooooo slow; 2. the portion is tooooo small. The food is OK but I have nothing to say about it.

  2. Location: Right next to the escalator within the same mall as Target.

Service: On point, been here three times with no issues.

Food: I am not sure why all the bad reviews. I mainly come here for the blooming union. The bloomin onion is slamming!!!!  Hot, Fresh, Crispy, and the dip in the middle is sooo tasty.

BTW: If you're looking for fish or chicken then go to red lobster! This is a steak place duh.

  3. My mom loves Outback and this is where she wanted to go for Easter Dinner. Most Outbacks I've been to (and I've been to many in the tri-state) have been consistent in taste and quality and this location was no different. Located inside the Queens Place Mall, the venue attracts an assortment of people including many with young children. I would not come here on a date unless you'd both previously confessed your love for Outback surf & turf. The food was generally okay, with the exception of a few standout items. Here's a breakdown of the appetizers:

Bloomin' Onion – To me it tasted like herb crusted fried flour. Everyone else at the table liked, though.
Coconut Shrimp – Always a winner. Shrimp were decent sized and the orange marmalade was delicious. We had two orders.
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms – I've had this before and I don't know why I got it again. The mushroom caps were filled with a cream sauce and there was no distinguishable crab meat in it. I still ate it, but as one of the more expensive appetizers I would think it would be better.
Side Salad – Basic side. Same as you'd get at any diner.

As a main all four of us got the same thing — the $14.99 surf & turf special. The meal came with a 5 oz signature sirloin and a lobster tail. This is a great deal! With the exception of one person in our group who complained that his steak tasted like it had been sitting next to a piece of liver, all of our steaks were cooked to the right temperature, tender and well seasoned. My asparagus was overcooked but the waitress, who was very sweet and patient on this busy night (Jessica from Illinois) let me replace the asparagus with an order of broccoli without problem.

The lobster – I've been to a number of high end lobster spots but this Outback takes the cake. The lobster was juicy and flavorful. Grilled perfectly! It didn't need any extra butter. Next time I come here I might just get the twin lobster tails.

  4. I have been to this location 2 times prior and had an excellent experience. This place week that i went was not such a great experience. I get that restaurants and people have off days. But this time was just horrendous. My husband had to ask for his dr pepper quite a few times. Our bread came out 20 mins late. And his entree came out before his salad. I definitely wont be going back here for a while.

  5. Came here twice with my dad during the week at lunch time, and each time we had friendly, attentive waiter/waitress service. Not just pleasant, but they readily smiled, made conversation, and actually appeared interested when we were talking (hey you don't have to actually BE interested, but just fake it! ).

We never had a wait during the weekdays, and because of our lunch hour, it was never crowded, we always were able to get a booth, and the noise level was pleasant and quiet.

I have to say in general, the food is never anything special. It's good, hearty, but not unique in flavor. I enjoy the bread loaves and whipped butter (light and creamy!), and their bloomin onion. The garlic mashed are nicely whipped, but overly salty. Vegetables that come on the side are crisp and hearty. Best broccoli stalk ever! Steamed carrots and squash, are neutral and balance out the salt. I'm sure they salt the vegs too though.

Burgers have thin patties, and since I get mine medium rare, they have always been juicy.

  6. The location for this restaurant is brilliant as it is within a shopping center and is one of two places. The restaurant looks great and is warm and inviting but the food is just not up to par. I've been there twice and I honestly couldn't find many positive things to say about it either time. I ordered a surf and turf and the surf was so small it was practically invisible, although it was tasty and the turf was requested rare and it was still rubber and tasteless. The sides were tasteless and the drinks were weak. I tried the crab and avocado appetizer, which I was expecting to be brilliant but it simply was not good. The service was decent although the wait for the check was a bit longer than it needed to be.

  7. I did come back, but not for the steak. It's always tough, flavorless, and well done. They do the bloomin onion, chicken wings, and clam chowder right though.

  8. Decided to stop by Outback during the steak and lobster special on a late weekday evening. The server was friendly, it took a bit long for our drinks to come from the bar and for our appetizer to come…but the bread kept us quite satisfied while waiting! I love the option of ordering different size pours of wine…I usually do a glass and a half and the 9oz pour is perfect for me.

The steak and lobster dish was JUST enough to fill me. Any less and I may have left hungry, even after having the stuffed mushrooms and bread. I could have upgraded to a larger steak- but it would bump the cost and I wasn't in the mood. The kids meals are a little too pricey for my taste, given that my daughter hardly every finishes more than 1/3 of her food…probably along with most other children.

Overall, it was yummy and I will probably be back, but with a coupon only.
