  1. As always, I love coming to Red Lobster. This location is a bit smaller than the Route 46 in Wayne one that is local to me, and is a little less obvious from Route 17. As with all RL's in NJ that you can sadly only get to with a car, we had to be on keen lookout for the turn-off for this location since we'd never been before. We were seated promptly for lunch on a Saturday afternoon when we're used to waiting, so this was very nice. Service was good, though our waitress was clearly managing thirty things at once and so her performance was a little bumpy, but she was tipped well since my family and I knew she was really trying. Example, we had wanted a bag of more cheddar bay biscuits to go, but somehow she thought we wanted an order of the mussels we had ordered earlier to go, so she brought the mussels by accident. We more than gladly accepted the mussels anyways since they're heavenly in your mouth, but to make up for her mistake, the waitress gave us an extra bag of cheddar bay loveliness. Now that's just cool and good service. 🙂 🙂

  2. I am not sure why I torture myself by going to red lobster thinking you can get good seafood.

The service was terrible as usual

The food was below average and very expensive.

Three adults and one toddler $129.

Mussels appetizer – half of the mussels were closed and the waitress said "it's ok if they are closed its not dangerous". Yeah I'm glad it's not dangerous but how about I have the opportunity to actually eat the food we ordered. She did offer to have the chef open them which consisted of them just smashing them open and giving us back a bowl of shells all over and some mussels. Was a big disappointment

Ordered Mac n cheese for our  toddler and it was terrible. It was boxed junk for $9. Never again bringing a toddler to Red Lobster

All three adults ordered the crab specials and they were not so appetizing. The pasta crab special was loaded with oil and garlic that you couldn't eat it.

We added a side of King Crab legs (see photo) and they were so over cooked the crab was all stringy and dry. $13

The salads were actually the best part of the meal.

Would not return to Red Lobster again. It really a fast food seafood restaurant with very low standards. $129 should have been $70 tops.

  3. The WORST red lobster I have been to seriously.
I am still dumbfounded as to how how a chain restaurant that usually serves good food can serve such a disgusting and disappointing meal! Seriously!

If you see my reviews, you will see that I'm not picky and it is extremely rare when I leave such a bad review.

We got a crab boil and it had no juice, the crab legs were actually dry, just unpleasant. Oh and it came with 5 meager potatoes. You would expect for almost $40 more.
The mussels appetizer did not taste fresh at all and was dry on top of that!

Service was really awful. I mean again I'm not picky. I just want the minimum food delivered without asking, nothing more.
We had to ask for the cheddar biscuits, water, the potatoes that come with the boil, any liquid butter at all and we still never got an extra crab cracker thingy when this plate was shared.

Overalls for almost 60$, not worth it at all in any way shape or form.

  4. I'm giving this place three stars because this place isn't consistently good. Over the years, the quality of food has declined dramatically.

    THE BAD:
Cutting corners and franchising and probably paying the cooks lower wages, I don't know. All I know is this place used to serve magical food. Now it's a mere shadow of its former self.

    THE WORSE:
The steamed vegetables look sickly, the rice seems dated, the shrimps are small, and the quality in which everything is cooked lacks any inspiration or commitment. It's all thrown on a plate and served with defeat written all over it.

    THE NUTSHELL:
I will NOT be coming back here again UNLESS I have a severe biscuit craving. Their biscuits and their shrimp linguine will always be their best dishes (the linguine because of the sauce).

  5. Great waiter, he was super nice and friendly. He was on top of everything.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits here are always PERFECT. Cooked to perfection. Golden yellow and nothing burnt at all. Warm and fluffy. Oh my goodness!!!

Sadly, the other food isn't on par. Lobster bisque had chunks of lobster yay but it was lukewarm. The lobster meat tasted over cooked.

I got the try three with baked lobster alfredo (meh but had chunks of lobster, a bit overcooked lobster), coconut shrimp (best part but the shrimp are on the tiny side), and the salmon (okay but again, on the overcooked side).

My date got the sirloin and he purposely told them rare because he figured it'd come out overcooked. He was smart. When it came out, it was more like medium than rare. And he throughly enjoyed it.

I don't know what it is about this specific RL but there are always families with babies here. Crying babies. Crying loud babies. It's sort of obnoxious. Get a babysitter maybe? Or possibly just do take out? At least that's what I'd do. Because it gets to the point where other parties really can't enjoy themselves or talk to one another.

What can you expect though? I don't expect them to hit it out of the ballpark but I'll always keep coming back because CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS.

  6. We always come here for family occasions. No different from any other red lobster but we always have a good time. However I think that the Jameson and ginger was worth a mention. It's my go to drink and I order it almost everywhere I go and this one was one of the better ones. I also really wish that I could remember the waiters name because he was very nice and super sweet to my nutty family. So if your looking for some seafood, a clean restaurant, great and fast service I do recommend coming here. And if you like whiskey get a few jamo and gingers and you'll have a pretty good time. It was also for my mom and I's birthdays so they brought out some great desert and sang to us. Overall it was another great night with the family.

  7. I'm not really a fan of seafood or chain restaurants, but I just happened to come here on a Friday night because it was the only place opened around other than diners. Quite a safe choice for family dinners if you bring kids along. There was about a 15 minute wait for us to be seated.

My only favorite part is the lobster bisque and cheddar biscuit. The service was good and quick. There's a bar seating too if you'd like to get some drinks.

  8. Went with my mother who had never been to red lobster. She had shrimp alfredo and I had a shrimp pasta dish in a white wine sauce. We both had new england clam.chowder which was hot and pretty good. Dessert for me was the caramel cheesecake and for mom it was the brownie sundae. Overall good experience.
