It's a newly opened Korean style steak house. It's located across the king spa. Has a few parking spots shared with a cafe in same the building. On the right side of the restaurant there is a big parking lot, but that's reserved for king spa customers and guarded by a parking attendant. Not enough street parking due to the location of the restaurant.
I called the restaurant to ask about parking space and a employee tried to help me resolve the problem. I ended up parking my car on the street a block away.
Restaurant was very welcoming. Modern and neat, romantic. Waitress was very helpful with the menu.
I know this restaurant is one of the well known steak restaurants in Seoul, Korea. I was able to read many people's review regarding their experience from other Korean food bloggers.
They served us complimentary apple chips, as a welcoming appetizer. All the regular menu includes soup and salad. Everything was made to order. Salad was fresh and had an Asian dressing on it. Actually I really liked it. Soup was delicious too. I could feel they really put lots of effort to presenting the food pretty way.
Our steak plate was very presentable. But steak was more like a medium not medium rare that we ordered. And steak wasn't hot. Seafood pasta was good but pasta wasn't cook al dente.
They served us complimentary homemade truffle and chocolate in the end.
I felt I got treated in a very modern and elegant way. Additionally service was excellent!! I wish steak came out hot and medium rare as I ordered. That would make my experience perfect in this place.
But I would like to come back and try other things on their menus.
Beautiful, clean steakhouse. Owner/chef Eric has been in the business for many years so he definitely knows what he is doing.
The server who was there greeted us and welcomed us wholeheartedly. We were offered welcome apple chips and small bites which consisted of arincini balls and quail eggs on top of anchovies paste. Delicious!
Lunch specials menu is available 11:30am-3:30pm Mon-Sat. All entrees come with bread, soup and salad. Everything is made fresh so selection of soup and salad changes daily. BYOB with no corkage fee.
Steak with herb and garlic was delicious. Tender and the sauce did not overpower the dish. Temperature was closer to medium than the requested medium rare. Seafood pasta was filled with seafood and pasta al dente. We ended our lunch with their complimentary homemade truffle and merengue.
I look forward to trying more off their menu!
Parking is a real problem but be patient with the spots out in front or park a few blocks away.
Alright. The food is pretty good here. Their steak is probably the best but it was served little too cold for my taste. Seafood pasta is also not bad. The noodles are slightly under cooked purposely for that chewy taste.
It's BYOB so pack your adult beverage if you want to. I saw a LOT of church people that night praying and drinking water. I felt like a total sinner drinking my 2 bottles of wine on the corner.
The service is ok. Two young gentlemen playing professional waiter was fun to watch. They are both very friendly and helpful. They only have 1 wine opener so make sure to ask them to open 2 bottles at a time.
I really enjoyed my dining experience here, and probably would have ranked it higher had they not run out of beef tenderloin at a steakhouse. That was pretty disappointing. I did have the marbleized ribeye with a chili sauce. It was sort of sweet and spicy glaze, and a nice Asian inspired twist on a tender ribeye steak. They came out with a couple of neat little appetizer dishes prior to the main course that were really delicious. One, was a tomato mozzarella and basil stack. The second was not as great, and essentially a ball of fried and mashed potatoes. It was kind of bland. The salad is served before hand was fresh, and came with a really delicious peanut dressing which was kind of a vinaigrette type of deal.
Steak was cooked exactly to temperature, and the service was excellent. I do not drink, but the person I was eating with was a little disappointed that I did not serve wine. It is a BYOB place, so I guess that was really her lack of preparation.
Oh my. Came with low expectations- it's not a top notch NYC steakhouse, so it can't be THAT good, right? WRONG. At less than half the price of those restaurants, the food here is far superior in taste, quality, and presentation than the more widely known $$$$ steakhouses. It's a different, more new age, and artistic type of steakhouse, so perhaps it shouldn't be compared to mainstream steakhouses. The staff also seem to know their dishes very well- from how it's cooked to where it's from. The chef comes out occasionally to ask how the meal's going and to teach the waiter how to present the plate. I was delightfully surprised by the expertise of the art of steak this little gem has. The place is clean and the food comes out on white canvas or black stone plates, creating a masterpiece artwork with every dish. The pre fixe menu is such a great value- small bite size apps to soup and mouthwatering apple kale salad. I was thoroughly filled by the end of the meal. They also offer complimentary homemade chocolates at the end. Their coffee is good, but don't order the lemonade- unless you like carbonated lemon soda. I wasn't a fan but everything else far exceeded my expectations. I'll be coming back- maybe even with my dog, as they have outdoor seating. The place isn't that large but it has spacious tables with lots of elbow room. The decor/ambiance is fine- a bit confusing between modern and Renaissance but it works out. If they didn't turn on music, I'd totally freak out since there's an echo throughout the restaurant with its high ceilings – they put on soft jazz, which is top of my spotify for long drives, so I can't complain! I'm sure it looks better during dinner.
The t-bone was perfectly cooked- a bit more than what was asked for medium rare), but tasted awesome. In fact, it's recommended to eat their steak more on the cooked side than raw due to their method of cooking the steak (vaped in plastic? Can't recall exactly the procedure but it's detailed on the bottom right of the menu). The cowboy steak is pretty big and they say it's a lot of people's favorites- I can see why! It's so tender and the vegetables so decoratively placed on the same dish is such a perfect compliment to the steak.
If you're looking for steak in Bergen county, forget Morton's, River Palm, Prime & Beyond, etc- go to Eric's steakhouse for an unforgettably superb steak experience.
