Opsy! Forgot to finish this review.
Not a huge fan of crowds or queuing ("you have a 30 minute wait") to dine but during the day there's not that many people and I always have a pleasant time here.
On my last visit I got the surf n turf and it was good.
I've gotten really nice servers who usually ask that I visit their website to rate them as this goes towards their advancement within the company. I'm all for progress so I always oblige.
I like their magaritas too though I'm yet to try the strawberry flavored.
The End
Came here Wednesday night (11/25/15) and it was horrible. Specifically the service sucked. I've been to this Red Lobster a few times and I have never experienced bad service until now.
We were seated immediately and waited about 10 minutes for our waitress to arrive. She took our drink and food orders with no problems. The problem was service was slow and our waitress disappeared multiple times that we had to ask other workers to get her for us.
The kitchen also provided lazy service as they cheated us out of sauces for the seaside platter; cocktail shrimp, lobster mushrooms, and coconut shrimp. When we asked our waitress what happened to the sauces, all she said was "I don't know the kitchen is closing". Like WHAT!!!!!
Surprisingly the lobster mushroom was good. We also ordered mussel pot. First time for me having mussel. I was impressed but I'm pretty sure there is way better mussel out there.
Oh and we had to grab utensils from another table because we were not provided any.
The last strike was that after we finished our meal we waited another 10 minutes for the check.
Now, I can understand waited a while when the place is packed, but in the section we sat there was no other customers.
So all in all my experience here was whack.
This Red Lobster has gone so down hill over the years.
Firstly, It's ghetto. The staff have very nasty attitudes that they can NEVER hide. Like sweetheart, if you hate your job so much , quit ! . Its sucks having to have hosts that have attitudes. They don't even smile when they greet you.
We were seated within 10 minutes at a nice big booth. Our waiter took FOREVER to come. Mind you, the place wasn't even crowded.
Finally after 15 minutes of waiting, he showed up and blamed the biscuits not being ready for why he didn't come to greet us or take our drink orders. Whatever.
I ordered the High Tide drink. It was all syrup, it was too sweet, hated it. My sister got a pina colada, which tasted like a MILKSHAKE! Gross.
The food was good of course, I love the lobster pizza.
MY SISTER FOUND A HAIR IN HER FISH TACOS. The worst thing that can ever happen at an establishment. The waiter didnt even offer it on the house, we ended up paying for it. We had to wait another 15 minutes for them to make it again and take it to go.
The worst ! Never comming here again. I have had it !
2.5 stars
My last visit to Red lobster (Brooklyn location) was full of foul mouthed little brats, cold food and horrendous service. After that experience I decided to take a break from this establishment as a whole. Last night though my husband and I made a quick stop at Green acres. As we were walking out he informed me of his desire for RLs Cheddar bay biscuits. Him mentioning it immediately brought my taste buds back to the last time I'd had one of those babies. Damn them joints were good….Ok let's go!
I haven't been to this particular location in years. We walked in were greeted by the hostess and seated within 5 minutes. First glance at the menu I said wow a lot has changed. RL has done their best to keep up with the constant changes in the food industry, health and variety being the main ones. The options were endless and everything sounded appetizing. We settled on a rum punch and L.I.I.T. for drinks, coconut shrimp for appetizer, wood grilled lobster, salmon and shrimp for my entree and hubby got the Admirals feast (fried scallops, clam strips, shrimp, fish and fries). The biscuits came immediately which we devoured within 5 minutes but we stared at our empty plates waiting for the app and drinks to come for like 20 minutes. We were hungry and our waitress would disappear for 15 minutes at a time so we couldn't even get status updates for our order. When the drinks finally came my husband immediately said his rum punch was weak, more juice than anything. That was disappointing bc my Long island was pretty decent.
Our coconut shrimp appetizer was mediocre at best. That yogurt looking pineapple sauce it comes with though is absolutely disgusting. When our entrees came we were happy campers…well atleast I was. Hubbys food was bland as hell and everything honestly tasted like it'd been frozen. The clam strips…bland, the shrimp…bland, scallops…small, sad and bland…He ate the fries though lol. I guess I was the lucky one last night bc my food was good. The shrimp and lobster tail was my favorite and it didn't even need any butter for dipping. They were charred a bit, which I loved (char gives more flavor imo) but the salmon wasnt. It was underseasoned but I still enjoyed the dish as a whole.
We did ask our waitress for an order of biscuits to go, it took her an additional 15 minutes and a reminder to get them but they were worth it.
If you think this place is good,,,you are a fucking moron. The service is disgusting, the people that work here are gross and i guess next time i want to lose a couple of lbs from food poisoning i know where to go.
I visited at my daughter's request because she wanted us to have lunch, so I obliged. My server took our beverage order then disappeared. When she finally came she had my daughter's but not mine. The salad needed up showing before the lemonade.
When I attempted to eat my salad the utensils were filthy. I asked for another set but only got more of the same. I eventually snatched another set from a vacant table. It was a basic Ceasar Salad but I enjoyed it . I had an entree of Garlic Shrimp and Fried Flounder with broccoli. It was alright.
Quite frankly this was my last trip. I am not expecting food porn but I want a quality experience of great food and service. That was not the case. On the contrary I am not and Applebee's fan per say but today I had lunch their with a friend and I loved the Wedge Salad and Chicken Queso. See my review of that meal.
I went here today for a late lunch and I decided to partake in there 4 course meal for $15.00. At first I was reluctant because I thought the portions sizes would be small. How wrong was I, the food was good and the drinks (alcohol of course) was even better. We were sitted fast, the waitress fast, and the meal was good
My first time dining at Red Lobster was GREAT!
I recommend the $15.00 for a 3-course meal deal from the menu. Totally worth every penny!
Four of us ordered four different main course dishes:
1. Grilled Honey BBQ Shrimp Skewers!
2. Garlic-Herb Shrimp and Chicken!
3. Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp – Deep Fried Shrimp covered in shredded coconut.
4. Garlic Alfredo Shrimp-and-Scallop Pasta!
The beginning clam chowder soup and salad were good and the ending brownie with vanilla ice cream was also good. But I felt the main dish was the BEST!
Not to mention that the biscuits are amaaaZING! Very FLUFFY and melts right in your mouth. Kindly ask for more and the waiter will kindly bring more… Fresh from the oven, toO!
