With the exception of Washington National, my go-to airport meal is a burrito–it tends to be satisfying and moderately flavorful even at comparatively low-end chains. As I watched the burrito before mine being made, it looked so dispiriting that I abandoned my place in line and get a slice of pizza instead. (Cold, insipid, tortilla; watery salsa; rubbery cheese; and who knows how long the fillings had been sitting in the steam table?)
