This place is great. Love the selection of Tapas on the menu – varied and unique. I would suggest ordering the ceviche, beef randang, or the pulled pork empanadas. The decor is interesting and sets the mood for a fun night out. Our waiter was very friendly and was on top everything. Don't forget to bring wine for sangria!
I went to Finca for dinner on a Wednesday night around 5:30. My coworker and I were the only ones in the restaurant, but that obviously changed as the night went on. Finca's decor is very cool. I liked the layout a lot and we were able to sit by a window which was nice. Our waiter was very friendly and made a couple of suggestions about what to order and how much we should order. He also told us that they sell wine by the bottle and half bottle and any wine can be turned in to Sangria. That's pretty cool! Like other Yelpers have mentioned, it's also a BYOB restaurant so if wine and sangria aren't your thing you can bring what ever your heart desires.
My co-worker and I opted to share two plates, the truffle fries and humus – which were both delicious. I am such a sucker for truffle fries and these didn't disappoint. I ordered the crab cakes and two empanadas – the BBQ pulled pork and the chicken. My coworker ordered the salmon tartar and roast artichokes. All that food was actually plenty for the two of us. My crab cakes were delicious and flavorful, though as to be expected, quite small. I wasn't as impressed by the empanadas. I liked the chicken one better than the BBQ pulled pork, the chicken had a nice spice to it, the BBQ pulled pork was a little too dry for my liking. Also, the empanadas came much later in the meal and by that time we were actually pretty full.
Unfortunately we were unable to try the dessert because we were in a rush and had to get back to a work event. I want to visit Finca again, try their other items, and definitely save room for the dessert!
I really really loved it here! Great space to have dinner with friends. It's a bit loud so not ideal if you're looking for an intimate setting. We sat inside and so happy we did. The exposed brick and strung Edison bulbs make the restaurant so cute. Finca is a byo but also gives you the option to buy their wines by the bottle or carafe. We forgot our wine so we purchased a bottle of reasonably priced pinot grigio. For dinner we decided to get a little bit of everything. We ordered the veal meatballs, crab cakes, charred octopus, ricotta gnocchi which had a lamb ragout, stuffed grilled avocado (stuffed with lump crab meat) and finally the Chilean sea bass. Everything was excellent. My favorites were the veal meatballs, ricotta gnocchi and sea bass. The ricotta gnocchi was absolutely ridiculous… get that. I loved the soy truffle foam served with the sea bass. It was a cool effect and added great flavor. I enjoyed the crab cake and the octopus but they were pretty basic. The octopus was cooked nicely but I wouldn't say it was charred. The only dish that fell short was the the stuffed avocado. The lump crab was fresh but it was just an ok dish. I wished we ordered a different plate instead. We didn't have room for dessert but the menu looked fun. There's a cotton candy dessert that seemed popular for larger groups. Looking forward to coming back and trying some more of the menu.
