My school used one of our professional development days to treat us for a "local lunch." Working in Hunts Point, there are not many "restaurants" let alone food institutions that fit more than 10 people. El Valle did represent the typical spanish/dominican food of the south Bronx, but it was pretty horrible. The menu curiously has about 100 different chicken and beef options, but everything looked and tasted pretty much the same.
