  1. So, I'm currently attempting to try all the Ramen places in Westchester since I love it so much. It's very reminiscent of when I was younger and the mother of my Japanese bestie at the time, would make us lunches of fragrant and hearty soups, chock full of Japanese flavors, seaweed and noodles.
Hubby and I stopped in about 30 minutes before closing for some din and we were welcomed with a table and didn't feel rushed at all. They have the open kitchen set up and you're able to sit at the dining bar so as to watch your meal being prepared for you.
Our server was very pleasant and offered me a taste of their featured Japanese IPA so that I could decide on my beverage. Although it smelled and tasted great, I opted for some sake. I believe the one I ordered was the Shakaragura, served chilled; very crisp sake. Hubby went with the less expensive hot house sake.
Hubby and I shared the Tuna Aburi Don which tasted great. It was served in a bowl with warm white rice, drizzled with soy sauce, topped with seared tuna, seaweed and scallion. For our mains, hubby ordered the Kuroshio Ramen with Chicken and I got the Miso Ramen with Chicken and asked for a Spice Bomb. I love the fact that I can get something other than just hot oil to increase the heat intensity of my soup. The server suggested I put a little in at a time but I just threw the whole ball in and let it mix into the broth. I have no qualms with heat so for me, the spicier, the better.
We ordered the Tantanmen Ramen for my son with Chashu Pork and a Spice Bomb. He liked his meal as well. We all liked the food and Kishuya is a definite contender when it comes to ramen, north of the city and although they are not our favorite out of the places we've tried, we would definitely go back.

  2. Ate here again and ordered the tantanmen spicy ramen with extra pork and the shrimp summer rolls.  Still same great quality and friendly staff.  My husband and I love this place!

  3. The Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat- or fish-based broth and some other stuff, this depends on of who is cooking it.

I came with a co-worker to this place, because he saw it that was in the Westchester magazine.

I ordered the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen, from the lunch menu and I also add some extra chicken and corn to my Ramen, all lunch special in this restaurant come with a salad with carrot dressing, I also order some fried rice on the side.

The Salad that is included in the lunch special was very good and the dressing, it was just right.

The Fried Rice:  Had a good taste, and the portion is enough to share between two people.

Shoyu Tonkotsu: is a Kishuya original seasoning soy sauce and tonkotsu (pork) broth, topped with pork chashu, ni tamago, naruto, menma, nori, and scallion.

The portion was very big and adding the extra chicken and corn give it an extra touch, the noodle had a good taste, the soup was not that hot, both of the meat were very juicy and gentle soft. I enjoy it very much, I will definitely return soon.
