Decent food. Not authentic Mexican, but I guess that's evident in the "tex mex" name that it's an Americanized mex food. Great portions, friendly service, mediocre atmosphere. But I left full and pretty satisfied, so I'd return if in the area at mealtime.
Completely did not realize this place was here all this time!
This is not a bad option when looking for take out in the neighborhood! I decided to try out some of the appetizers for my first time, so I ordered the empanadas and the pineapple chipotle wings that I saw some great reviews on here for.
The wings were cooked nicely with the meat falling right off the bone. The sauce was good, although I was hoping for some more spice on the wings. The empanadas were very good and had a great flavor to them.
The place has what seems to be a great atmosphere for a group of friends to kick back some tequila shots. There is also a nice outdoor seating area for days with nice weather. I look forward to trying more from this place!
Fun place with an enjoyable atmosphere. The place is clean, and the decor lovely. The staff is SUPER friendly and attentive. It's worth coming back to this place just for the wonderful service.
The chips could use more imagination, and the salsa more consistency and focus. The taco salad shell was crispy and light. Love the mostly Cuban music playing in the background!
What a cute place! We've driven past here a few times, but never realized that the place was here. It was on my boyfriend's bookmark list (thanks for the find, Yelp) so we decided to try it out. You can definitely take-out from this place, but it is a cozy place with authentic decor and an open kitchen. A nice feel and it's BYOB. Glancing at the tables, you can see that people brought a wide variety of beverages. The salsa was excellent and the chips had the perfect amount of salt. They really hit the spot. Afterall, I was starving! My boyfriend went with the empanadas and fajitas. I had a fajita salad. The portions were large and it was a good salad. Not great, but maybe I'm just not used to carrots and cucumbers in my fajita salads. Everything else was great though. The hostess and servers were friendly, but it was a fun night and I'm looking forward to returning to try the numerous other options.
Had the molcajete n was super awesome! My husband called it the ultimate fajita. Calamari was the best I ever ate and the prices are really resonable. Definitely will be back here for sure. Oh and on Sundays the molcajete is only $20 AND DEFINITELY feeds more than 2 ppl, which is what it's intended for. Service was awesome too.
Came here for lunch. Had a blackened chicken salad, which was good but only had iceberg lettuce. I do wish it had come with a mixed greens. The salad had a good amount of cheese, olives, carrot shreds, and tomatoes. They only had three different types of salad dressings, mine came with a mango dressing which was good but I do wish they had some sort of vinaigrette as an alternative.
Overall I would come here again, food was good and service was good as well.
