If you are coming here on the weekend, expect to wait at least 30minutes for a table. During the summer it isn't so bad because while you're waiting you can take a walk along the river and enjoy the view. What keeps me coming back here it's their delicious fresh, warm bread… The servers are courteous, never had a complaint about that. Most of the time we've had the server bring our food however on this particular time we had a food runner bring our food and he was very rude. Our food was good so we didn't let that bother us.
The ladies room was a mess, I'm just going to assume since it was busy no one had checked it in a while but it wasn't bad compared to other restrooms in some restaurants.
There is plenty of parking so thats a big plus and I also know that you can go online and make a reservation ahead of time however not really too sure if its accurate, I heard a few people doing that and still having to wait, not really too sure maybe next time I'll try it out and see how that works
Came the night before Thanksgiving with a group of friends. Wasn't my choice for dinner, but I figured it is what it is… Anyway, place was on the busy side, waiter did a nice job, very quick and friendly and he had a bunch of tables and it didn't seem like anyone was waiting very long.
So we ordered 2 orders of cheese fries and a blooming onion to start. Onion was great. 1 order of fries was Excellent, cheesy, bacon, and fresh…the other looked like it had been sitting in the window for an hour.
Our Entrees came and most were good. Mine however had a STRAW under the food. Now working in the biz I know things happen. I'm sure it was stuck to a plate going through the dishwasher, but someone plated food on top of that… Unacceptable. The food on the plate looked like crap too, again like it had been sitting in the window for a while. The waiter apologized took it back and brought me a new plate, which looked sooooo much better. The food was actually delicious, I had the app trio. (Ahi tuna, crab avocado stack, and subbed volcano shrimp for coconut shrimp). So once my food came and was right, it was good.
A friend of ours came later and her food also came out wrong. I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen but someone needs to figure it out, I know its hard to find good help, but a STRAW, how do you plate food on that plate. They corrected the problems which I appreciate.
The manager came over and asked what she could do for us. My friend said "how about a free drink?" She said, "that's it?" …20 minutes later I'm sitting here, not only without that complimentary drink, but my drink is also empty for the last 10 minutes…the waiter let me know he took off my Tito's lemondade at the end. (At least he was courteous and working hard tonight).
Overall, I forgot why I don't frequent Outback…now I'm reminded. Uhhhh…
I haven't been to an outback in forrrreveeeer. It's the low end steakhouse that's like the red lobster for meat. We already had a mini dinner and was walking around Target to digest our food when we joked that we should go to Outback. Andddddddd it happened.
All 3 stars is for Raukel's service (not sure if I'm spelling it right). Haven't received such excellent service at a non-upscale restaurant in a long time that it was noticeably remarkable. The food was fine but nothing excellent- it's a once in a couple years (or never) type of unhealthy festivity. The lobster tail was tiny and the steak had a little too much fat, but for the price, nothing more could be expected. This location is ALWAYS packed, so go ahead and put yourself on the waiting list online prior to getting here.
The sangria was far too sweet but our very nice waitress traded it in for a different drink upon noticing my distaste for the level of sweetness. We asked for some mustard and horseradish – a must here (does wonders for meat) and she was back in seconds.
The outdoor seating is a first come first serve area, and it's filled with bugs anyway. It overlooks the Hudson River. We took our leftover bread to feed the countless number of ducks and geese on the riverside walking trail- nice ending to a not so great tasting meal.
Review update alert! Yes, I just upgraded my review from 4 to 5 stars simply because of the service we received on our recent visit. We were seated as soon as we walked in.
Tedi was our server and she was excellent. She was helpful, fun and extremely nice. Throughout the dinner she was consistent with checking up on is to make sure everything was alright and if we needed anything else to drink.
I must also point out that they make pretty fantastic margaritas! Just one and I was feeling pretty tipsy. The blood orange one was YUM! The best part was that it didn't even taste like it was loaded with tequila. I also appreciated how they honored my request to splash only a dash of sour mix into my cocktail. A wonderful balance all around.
This place is also clean and consistent with their food, never had a "bad" experience here.
During my last visit, they ran out of mad potatoes (no big deal, I just ordered a baked one instead).
The manager came over herself to apologize for the inconvenience and would up giving us a coupon for a free app and dessert for our next visit! Yeay! She was also very nice and wanted to make sure we wanted to have a great experience which we did. By far, this is my favorite outback in the area! Of course I'll be back and ready for more margaritas!
Came here casually after a study sesh. Got a 9 oz glass of Merlot and the twin lobster tails cooked in Old Bay seasoning & butter with a side of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. I liked the extra seasoning and kick the lobster had. It was good. My girl had to ask the waiter 3x as wait forever for her A1 sauce for her steak tho :-/
Of all the chain restaurant I've decided this place might be the worst.
Good — service, mini milkshakes (loved my Oreo one), wings (small but flavorful), coconut shrimp. They offer the option to get on their waiting list faster (it's not a reservation, but does get you on their list faster).
Bad — the steaks (rib eye, filet, all) are super thin and tiny!!! The ahi tuna on the salad looked the part but was rubbery. The garlic fries were not garlicky at all. Their blooming onion, which is their signature app, has gotten more oily and less blossomy — it's small and flat.
Went back for the first time after moving back into the area. Was looking for a local Saturday night and was very surprised at how hopping this place is later on a Saturday night! We got lucky and got a booth in the bar area right away but there were many people waiting for tables. I got the bone-in ribeye which came out perfectly medium rare with a baked potato and salad …. Seriously, I don't know how they make money when pricing it at $27.49. It was so good and of course, my dog feasted on the massive doggy bag I took home. My companion got the fried shrimp which were just meh to me but he liked them. I have to start coming back here, if only for take out.
People who follow me will probably think my Yelp was hacked but I really liked this place. The steaks were quite good and cooked exactly as ordered. Meat very flavorful altho a bit grainy likely because steaks were likely frozen. But less than half the price of a legit steak house and knowing up front where I was going I think Outback here is good value. Fresh veggies served were fine, grilled salmon was as good as anywhere. Crappy wines of course but low price. Excellent management and service staff. Would I bring a client here? I'd actually have to think about it. What can I say – good food and good value are important.
