  1. No. No. No. Just N-O to this place. The service is so spotty… I mean, literally I was told "soup of the day is …" And he walked off. I was about to tell him I'm ready to order but I guess that wasn't an option. Quite disappointing since I usually like The Palm. Food isn't even good.

  2. Threes stars since the food was decent and more important our server was prompt and courteous.

There are not many sit down restaurants in JFK.  We had a long layover so a quite break was needed.  The restaurant was relaxing, considering it is an airport.

I got the bacon burger with blue cheese.  I wasn't bad but wast great either.

Sadly for the price you expect more, but the service was good and it was a nice break.

  3. The Palm Bar & Grille at JFK airport met all of my champagne and caviar needs.

We were flying to Milan, Italy and had several hours to kill at the airport so we decided to grab dinner at The Palm Bar. Flying internationally can be exhausting so we didn't mind splurging on an expensive meal since we would be eating airplane food for the next twelve hours.

Our waitress at the Palm was so friendly and attentive. She noticed my husband was draining his tiny water glass quicker than she could pour the water so she left a pitcher at our table. When we ordered a bottle of Prosecco she asked if we were taking a special trip or celebrating anything. I think she may have been just as excited as we were about flying to Italy! Since she knew we had a lengthy layover she let us linger at the table after our meal so we could charge our electronics and check our email.

I admit that I prefer the Palm restaurant location over the airport location, but this is not a bad dining option in comparison to other dining options at JFK.

  4. The steak is defiantly a decent steakhouse steak.  I had the filet.

The cream spinach is amazing definite pass though.

  5. Ugh. The food is unseasoned, and the prices are a ripoff. The service was meh, and when you add a screaming kid whose parents are too busy on their phones to actually parent, well you know what that adds up too.

I ordered the cream of broccoli soup, along with the 3 cheese potatoes. Both were unbelievably bland. The soup tasted mostly like water, when I added salt, it bumped up to salty water. The potatoes were disgusting, I took 2 spoonfuls snd pushed it away.

My server was ok, but she is clearly unhappy with life. There was a woman I'm assuming was the manager since everyone kept going up to her who was being *ridiculously* loud. She sat at the bar talking about taking a girls trip & how her husband is unhappy being a "house husband".

TL;DR: Underwhelming and not worth it.

  6. Normally in the past theres been nothing but fast food choices at terminal 4, but it seems with all the work done they've added some new spots to eat. We like for our morning flights to grab breakfast, maybe some eggs and toast. Something fresh it's not that hard, or is it. The only choice we had for ages was some Irish pub that served a very limited breakfast (and I use limited loosely) and the service was horrible and slow. And I'm not a big pastry and coffee only person.

So seeing this new place (new for us) looked inviting. We were seated immediately at 9am on a Thursday. The waitress was friendly and got us drinks promptly. As I "checked in" I noticed on yelp a lot of poor reviews, mostly on the slow service. I was a bit worried due to we had to board in 45 minutes. But we ordered a Traditional breakfast of any style of eggs, choice of sausage or bacon home fries and toast. There were multiple choices for breakfast though this being The Palm they are on the pricier side.
Our breakfast came in less than 10 minutes from ordering and was good, though I would say for the price I've had better quality/presentation. But all in all the food was good and our service was fine. Our servers all were very friendly and courteous . Maybe because they were new they hadn't got their service down for those other customers? But I'd say service was 4 stars, food could use a boost for the price, especially after the breakfast we had in SF at the Lark Creek Cafe Terminal 2. (It can be done).

  7. Got violently sick after eating the crab cake. Was my last meal before a red eye to London. I was so sick, I missed my connection once I landed because I was in the bathroom sweating and being sick. This lasted almost 24hrs – not a great experience. I can only conclude to food poisoning.

Also, while I was dining there, I overheard the manager being a jerk to a costumer who was concerned about their bill. He felt the bartender was overcharging for a house shot, and the manager's reply, "Well sir, I'm not sure if you're aware, but this isn't a street bar."

  8. I don't understand the bad reviews. I ate here twice and both times I left happy. The first time I came in with a group of 6. I remember having a burger and fries. The second time I was by myself, and I was happy they were willing to give me a table instead of placing me at the bar. This time, I had a chicken ceasar salad.

Staff was friendly on both occasions, and food came out promptly. I don't mind eating here when in terminal 4 of JFK airport.
