I was looking forward to Mexican food in the RVC tonight. Cabo was such a disappointment! I walked in and was told there would be a 10min wait and I could have a seat at the bar which was fine. I went and had a seat at the bar and ordered and paid for a bud light. A few mins later I received a text message my table was ready! We were seated but then waited 20mins before a sever even came to the table and acknowledged us. He arrived to our table as I had already decided I was giving them 20mins max to come and take our order; plus I wanted to at least try and finish my beer that I already PAID $7 plus a tip at their bar! To say the least this place has absolutely no regard in the world for customers. I will never step inside this place ever again! Beware my fellow Yelpers!
Cabo just really looks like one of those places that belong on the strip down in Miami Beach. But it's not..
I walked in a there were a lot of people in here. There are two bars next to each other. Decorated really tropical, the music was great & I was feeling the vibe. I squeezed up to the bar because there were no seats and asked for a drink menu. Immediately, my first thought was that this menu reminded me of Wet Willie's. I swear all they're missing here is one of those signature cups lol.
However, all that being said, the actual drinks are beyond weak. I ended up ordering the mojito margarita and my friend got the sangria and needless to say we both sipped on our juice or whatever it was and kindly walked right back out.
I can't speak on their food. I have eaten here before but it was at least 2-3 years ago and I guess it wasn't great because I never rushed back. But if you're looking for somewhere to have a few drinks and get a little buzzed then please don't do it to yourself and stumble in here. Sorry
P s. They do this little birthday thing that I must mention because I thought it was adorable. All the servers surround the birthday person with maracas shaking all about while 50 Cent- Go Shawty " it's your birthday" is blasting. I loved that lol
I've been here years ago and the food was great. My family and I decided to come here again, but it wasn't as promising as when I initially visited. We were a big group of 13 people so I understand that can be overwhelming. However, I think we waited way too long for our food to come out. I think we spent a total of three hours in this place. At the end, the majority of the people in my group were unhappy with their food. Not to mention how over priced the food was for the taste.
For myself, I got the shrimp quesadillas and they were okay. They definitely weren't worth the price. I also got a peach mojito which was okay as well.
Some family members got steak entrees and absolutely hated it. They also said their steak was cold when it got to them.
The service was just okay. I believe our waiter was new so I won't penalize him for that, but I do wonder why they would assign someone new to such a huge party.
Would I visit this place again? Probably not. There are tons of places in RVC that will fulfill expectations.
Came here for a birthday celebration. Our waitress was sweet but did not take everyone's order for drinks before walking off and did not get our wings order correct. Table side guacamole was nothing special but tasty nonetheless. I had the special, which was some sort of pork taco with a hoisin based sauce. The sauce was nice and sweet but could have been assisted with some more acid for my preference. Still, it was good. I'd return if invited but not the best of this cuisine I've had on Long Island.
DRINK. Need I say more? Definitely get the margaritas and the sangria. Both are great. Their food isn't bad but I wouldn't come here thinking you are getting authentic Mexican food. They have good nachos and quesadillas.
I came here with my friends and it was a mixed experience. We had a reservation and got sat down right away. Then after that the problems started coming. Out waitress who i believe her name was Dalia was terrible. I ordered pepsi and she gave me club soda. What the heck?! On top of that, all my friends drinks were flat and tasted terrible. Then I saw Dalia (i think thats her name) and another blonde waitress fighting over that another table was complaining that they didnt receive their tableside guacamole in a timely fashion. It legit looked like they were going to fist fight. Then afterwards, Dalia spilled salsa all over my friend and her coat. We then had to speak to a manager and we got a new waitress named Chelsea. Chelsea WAS AMAZING!!!!! She turned a crappy situation into an amazing one. Chelsea made sure we were happy and also made our table side guacamole which is free with a check in! Chelsea was so sweet! Im so happy she accommodated us very well. She legit saved the day. Without her I would of been so mad and walked out of the restaurant. Kudos to Chelsea!!!! I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was very tasty. Chelsea was the best waitress I have had in a while.
I have been here multiple times on weekends and weekdays. They do have some good specials during the week for their margaritas which are amazinggggg.
The most recent time I went was a Friday evening around 7:30 pm. My boyfriend and I were seated pretty quickly which was great. We both ordered margaritas (half the reason we came). I got the Miami Vice margarita and my boyfriend got the twice as nice which is half sangria half margarita. For an appetizer, we ordered the empanadas, one beef and one chicken. They were alright. The beef empanada was definitely the better of the two. It had more flavor and was not as dry as the chicken empanada. For dinner, we shared the Southwest Quesadilla and the Tequila Skirt Steak. The quesadilla was alright, I didn't really like it. It was a little dry and they did not give any sour cream, guacamole, or salsa to dip it in. The Skirt Steak was definitely the better of the two and I would order it again if I went back for dinner. It came with some kind of cheesy potatoes and broccoli.
The only reason I am giving it 4 stars out of 5 is because the service was extremely slow.

Cabo….ask anyone is this town and we all feel the same. Run.
Cabo is great is you're literally only going to get hit on my creepy men and sip on "alright" frozen margaritas. Other than that…don't.
I've been here a few times. But I had one pina colada the other night and immediately got VERY sick. It was very sweet and syrupy and I was sick all night. Though I've never gotten sick here before, I've been here enough times to know there really isn't anything great about the place, especially the food. You're better off not eating at all.
At night, they do have a nice atmosphere and you'll probably see its packed, but quality wise… I wouldn't waste your time.
Also, they are selectively with the "23/25 for women, 30 for men" rule.
