  1. Place is 3 floors but this review is strictly for the rooftop.

View: Although the rooftop is not high, it is not too far from the water and therefore you get a beautiful view on the Manhattan skyline.

Ambience: We went there for happy hour on a Friday and although it was pretty empty when we got there (around 5ish) most of the tables were taken by the time we left (7ish). Most people were in their late 20s to early 30s. You feel a nice breeze up there.

Drinks: I had the Pisco (a peruvian drink) which was delish. I also had their alcoholic tea which was also yummy and strong. Signature drinks were a little pricey ($12).

Service: Waitress was friendly as well as the hostess downstairs.

    Overall chill spot

  2. The thought of traveling abroad only to find myself in an Aussie themed bar celebrating all things bogan that make me cringe about our culture back home is enough to give me hives…

..yet after a few drinks I sometimes seem to find myself in exactly that sort of place, somewhat entertained by it all. I honestly don't know what that says about me.

Taking away the Aussie elements here (and they are not as in your face as others..looking at you Walkabouts in London) the Northern Territory is a pretty cool space. Didn't get up to the rooftop due to the rain but hear good things.

And yes, we got some of those giant Fosters beers that no one in Australia actually ever drinks. We're all bogans deep down I guess…

  3. I would write a longer review but I'm starving to death due to lack of service. We get it NoTer… you're slammed and have a bomb roof. So do I but you don't see me flaunting it all over town geezums!!!! Love the olives featured on the special roof menu tho!

  4. I'd recommend just stopping here for a quick drink on the roof deck if you are in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way.

I came here for dinner with two friends and was bummed to find out that the rooftop is for drinks only. The space itself is nice and spacious but the menu is lackluster. I had the mushroom skewers and mashed potatoes. Even my order sounds terrible but it really was the only thing that jumped out at me. They did have a fish taco special that looked okay. overall.. Mehhh

  5. I came here on Easter Sunday, pretty early, at like noon probably. So my experience may very well differ from yours. But at this time on a Sunday, nobody was out. So we grabbed our orders and headed up to the roof and enjoyed the views. I'm originally from New York but moved away a few years back. This place, for me, was perfect. I loved the views from the roof. Because nobody was there, we got to choose where we wanted to sit. The prices were fine…it was a great day to celebrate our saviors resurrection for sure. I'm sure this is packed later on, and I don't know how the food was. But it's large, spacious, and has great views. I was content.

  6. The view from the roof is stunning, on a warm not-hazy-climate-change-is-a-bitch day, you can get some pretty stellar views of mid-town east. I arrived early with some friends of mine. We posted up at that bar, and our first bartender was really great, attentive, and according to my friends made some great mixed cocktails. I was just pulling off the draft, while dabbling in a dollop of rose as it was on happy hour (which they have now!) I know someone had some fussy pants on before about a lack of HH.

We also had veggie and meat pies, and I loved the meat pie. It was very much Sheppard pie-esque. Even in hot weather we gobbled those up pretty quickly. As the sun set and the 'too-cool-for-school' crowd settled in we realized it was probably time for our departure. Before we left, the other keep at the bar knocked over my beer, did not apologize or even acknowledge that he'd done it (to be fair maybe he just didn't see it the sun was pretty bright), when I asked him to refill he did so without charging me, but then basically told me I should be more careful where I put my beer. Didn't love that. I am a pretty easy going guy, but that really irked me.

Sometimes we all have a rough one, and maybe this was his. Whatever it is, put a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. Also the crowd that came out late night were some over the top, self-absorbed hipsters from Williamsburg that loved themselves far more than was necessary. If you're down for that scene, then give it a go.

  7. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally visit a rooftop bar in this city…weird!

My review is based on the rooftop only although I was impressed with the bar at ground level, it looks clean and appealing. You must go up two flights of stairs to reach the bar itself, passing the kitchen and bathrooms on the second floor. I do want to point out that the bathrooms were less than desirable.

The rooftop itself was pretty crazy cool on a beautiful day. The place a one fairly small bar and what I would consider a lot of seating and also space to stand/lean.

When we initially reached the rooftop a hostess was standing there, we stopped and she kind of just stared at us (not asking or approaching us) I said we had two for the bar, she motioned to the direction of the bar.

They had a small printed menu. My husband and I had a few beers a piece at what is a regular price for beer. I will say that place was tolerably busy when we first arrived but was nearing insane status when we left.

My biggest complaint was that the bartender (the same guy) once not twice gave me the wrong beer, the first time I let it go but the second I pointed it out. I feel like at that point, he probably should have just given me the beer that I wanted but he had a little bit of an attitude about it.

I'm giving the place a 4/5 because the bar itself was great but unfortunately if I had to rate the bartender experience I'd give it a 1/5.

Overall, great view and great place to go on a nice day.

  8. Came for brunch on a hot day. It was hot as balls, even in the shade, and still had a great time.

The ham and cheese toastie was huge and tasty. Get a side of the tots too! We also got a carafe of the mimosa which went perfectly with the meal.

It was pretty empty when we got there at noon. It's a big space and only one server, so you might have to wave people down. But other than that, it was a nice space with good food.
