  1. Whoa! Looking at my old review, it's time for a revamp! I would have rated my new experience 4.5 stars, but I will happily round that up. It was worth waiting 35 minutes for a table (formerly 45 minutes – we came around 5:36pm), even though this was longer than we usually anticipated. If you want to kill the waiting time, just look around at the liquor store next door. Ready for why I'm giving this revamp the full rating? Well here we go!

As soon as our buzzer went off, we were all seated in a booth. After 5-6 minutes, our waiter came by, introduced himself, and gave out some suggestions. He also brought out honey wheat bread for us. He was very nice and had a positive attitude. We ordered entrees that INCLUDED a cup of soup and a side salad. I've always loved options like those! After another 5 minute wait (short waiting time = AWESOME!!), our food started to arrive. Our side house salads and loaded potato soups came out first simultaneously.

I've always loved their loaded potato soup. It was very creamy with pieces of potato mixed in. On top of the soup was some seasoning, bits of bacon and shredded cheese. We actually had to mix in those toppings while the soup was hot. All of that resulted in a tasty, non-salty sensation. This would have been perfect on a cold night or day. 😉

Our side house salad had lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese and croutons. It was really good. The honey wheat bread was fresh out of the oven on a wooden plank when we got it, and it came with a small dish of butter with a steak knife for spreading. That knife was also for the slicing of the bread. All of that was good, and not too sweet. As we ate, our main entrees arrived. This occurred within a very short period of time, which was nice!

We all ordered the Teriyaki Filet Medallions. It was made up of flavored meat pieces with some roasted peppers on top of a bed of seasoned rice. I thought the meat was good, but a little salty due to the sauce, but the roasted peppers were SALTY BEYOND BELIEF!! As for my other family member, she thought that EVERYTHING was too salty for her. This was why I would have taken 1/2 star away. I flagged down one of the managers, and explained about our discontent with this entree. He felt apologetic and explained the procedures regarding the making of this entree. He then suggested ordering the Victoria's Fillet due to the low sodium content. While this was unnecessary for myself since I was able to mix the meat up with my side salad, my other family member ran along with the manager's idea. The manager even comped her entree in favor of the alternative. Our waiter then came by and apologized for our experience with that entree. Now THAT'S what I call service. 🙂

Soon, the Victoria's Fillet came out. My other family member enjoyed it, and gave me a small piece to try. Yeah, that was good. The meat was tender, not salty, and flavorful. I may have to order that next time I come here. Another nice manager came by to see if all was well, and then asked me how were the roasted peppers. When I told him it was too salty, he explained the procedures for cooking this, along with an apology. This was cool.

This restaurant is located in a strip mall called Echo Plaza. It's right off of US-22 West and Mountain Ave. The restaurant scenery was kind of dark with low lighting, which was okay. The bar area was small. The whole restaurant was noisy with people's conversations and loud music in an open environment. Don't expect a quiet atmosphere when dining in here.

We didn't order dessert at all since we were full from our dinner, which was actually a good thing! Overall, we were really pleased with the service that we received here this time. Our waiter was excellent and the short waiting periods for our meals were outstanding. One of the managers rectified our issue with the main entree without an issue at all. All of this is as good as it gets!

  2. This is a place I used to frequent when I lived nearby …Since I was in the neighborhood I decided to drop in again …
The Outback Steakhouse menu has really changed for the better… There are a lot more choices and combinations to choose from .You can pretty much customize it to your liking by adding toppings like Sautéed Mushrooms, Grilled Shrimp etc.. Of course there's an added fee…They still have some of my old favorites like the Blooming Onion, Coconut Shrimp, Salmon and Steak…and the Wallaby Darby ( this is a signature drink.)
I was seated immediately,by my hostess named Na'kyera L, she was very accommodating and friendly….
In the past I've always had to wait so it was a nice change..There is usually a long wait on weekends….. Outback does offer call ahead and you can put your name on the list for a specific time but usually there is still a minimal wait… This  helps to really cut down on the wait time…or you can order and pickup.. Special parking spots for pickup only…( always  recommend checking  your order before leaving.)
Once seated, I was greeted by a nice waiter named Nick…
Nick was a very happy waiter….Extremely friendly , very knowledgeable, and very attentive. I found out he used to be in the Navy… Nick made me feel very welcomed.
The one thing that always impresses me about this Outback is the staff here  is very well trained.
After looking over the menu I decided on the 12oz prime rib… I had a choice of two sides so I chose the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus …I asked for rare prime rib and Nick my waiter made sure I got exactly that…
My prime rib was tasty the Au Jus gravy gave extra flavor … I really enjoyed my Garlic Mashed Potatoes, they were really creamy and had a nice balance of butter cream ,and garlic … My Grilled Asparagus … was cooked perfectly not mushy….
For my drink I ordered the Raspberry ice tea it was really good… I didn't even have to ask for a refill, Nick was on top of it and brought me a second one..
My friend chose the Sesame Salad.. She got Grilled Salmon on top… The flavor of the salad was very good along with the salmon… I would've preferred that they made the salad more interesting by using different types of lettuce, maybe some kind of nuts like peanuts or slivered almonds etc. for added texture…
The salad was a little to boring for my taste…but great flavor… I loved the warm Pumpernickel bread with butter that was served in the beginning of my meal.
My only other observation and critique  would be the portion size is really small. They could stand to be bigger…For the above reason and size I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5….
Upon leaving I spoke with my hostess and two other employees who also were very friendly and very kind..If the food catches up to the service this place will be amazing!!
I did enjoy my time here, and if in the neighborhood would return…

  3. Have been coming to this outback for years.  Have always had good service and good food.  It is nice this location is open for lunch.  We prefer this location versus route 46!

  4. My boyfriend and I decided to head to the Outback for lunch on a Saturday.  We arrived around 1 and there were a couple of other tables, but otherwise pretty empty so we were seated right away.

I was impressed with the number of lunch combos they have.  I never thought of Outback as a lunch spot (more so dinner/late night apps and drinks), but when I found a coupon for $5 off a lunch entrée, I was excited to have some midday steak.

I ordered the Outback Special (6oz Sirloin).  I thought it was very flavorful, juicy, with minimal fat. My bf ordered the Bloomin' Sirloin and wolfed his down.  I've had so many so-so steaks at other places that were double, sometimes triple the cost.  The 9.99 steak plates are definitely worth it!  We'll be back, Outback.
