  1. They recently remodeled this place so its got lots of wood and tile but you don't come here for the decor. It's all about the cheap spanish food. It has a $5.95 special that lets you chose from a hot buffet that can include rice and beans and a choice of the meats of the day which usually includes roasted chicken, pork chops, or sometimes goat,  with a salad and soda.Or u can have a spanish style pasta,"espaguetti" or sazoned up lasagna  or an assortment of veggies or root vegetables like yuca, malanga, or guineitos. You can chose from the menu for a little more and have steak and onions with tostones or maduros, that's fried or sweet plaintains, or mofongo(mashed plantains with pork cracklin) or a variety of seafoods in different sauces. The menu and the buffet are pretty extensive. The food is fresh, it moves fast, and the cops from the precinct across the street are always in there and everybody knows cops know all the best/cheap eats in the city. For dessert they have tres leche cake or traditonal flan which is usually pretty good too. The waitresses don't speak much english, most are from the dominican republic, but they are really friendly and if you can point you're guaranteed some tasty eats.
