Came for an early lunch on Father's Day – no wait. Fast service and food done right.
Your standard Outback Steakhouse chain but conveniently located and the parking lot is spacious. Our experience was great and would come back here again.
This is our "default" restaurant if my girl and I cannot decide on what to eat. You cannot go wrong with Outback. Nice atmosphere, the rooms is always sooo dark I cant see what Im eating..;) its a bit too dark for me, but hey the food is good, dont let darkness ruin your nice dinner with your significant other.
We usually like to start our night with bloomin onions as our appetizer with some nice spicy dipping sauce. Its this nice dish consisting of one large Vidalia onion which is cut to resemble a flower, breaded and deep fried. Anything deep fried is great isnt it?
Next we ask for the honey wheat bread…its a dark brown bread that comes out hot on a wooden plate with whipped butter…oh yeah this is free..its complimentary so go nuts! We usually can knock out 4 of these bad boys before entree arrives.
Entree wise, I get Kookabura wings with a side order of spanish rice. Or if I dont get this entree I would go with Alice Springs Chicken. Its two chicken breast grilled with a side order of crispy bacon drenched in honey mustard sauce and a layer of mushrooms, and then sprinkled with shredded Colby/jack cheese. One word "Amazing". My baby gets her Drovers Platter. Its Grilled Chicken Breast with Saucy BBQ RIBS!
I don't review chain restos often except when I am calling them out on the carpet and this one deserves it.
We ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and we were served not filets, but top round. Yeah Outback, I know the difference and this was NOT filet. All in told, we paid $18 per plate for a TOP ROUND slice of steak with a few puny (and I mean these shrimp must have gotten beat up and had their lunch money taken every day) kinda shrimp. One of mine was even missing half of it.
Save the money and order any cheap steak, cuz you ain't getting filet!!!
Came in after a wake, with my parents.
I had been here a handful of times in the past as I lived in the area, and still have friends close by. The waitress was very nice, and attentive. The food was very goof and fresh.
I had the Outback Special steak with scallops, fresh vegtables and a sweet potato. Everything was very good. The steak was perfect the scallops were nice and tender. The veggies were fresh and the sweet potato was sinfully delicious.
Ya'll know I advocate AGAINST chains….. but I went here as a last resort bc I was annoyed after having been forced to wait almost 2 hours and I was hangry.
Started off with the crab and avocado stack, which obviously is nothing like a nice fresh one that I might have in a sushi joint (prefer raw tuna stacks) but it did the job. 3 out of 5.
Went on to get French onion soup even though it was a blistering 90 degrees out but whatever man, I enjoy soup all day errryday! Typical, what you expect FO.
Followed up with two fish tacos that the head food chain honcho needs to revisit. It was one hunk of fish on top of the slaw mixture so it pretty much was a mess and the sauce was hard to incorporate to the fish. Not bad but maybe do smaller pieces, mixing everything together. Again, I don't plan on returning so oh well.
We told the waitress we were here for a quick lunch but it wasn't exactly a fast experience. Still had to wait for the food and for the check to be brought and picked back up. Last resort, sure do it. Otherwise allow yourself the extra few minutes to browse around this town and find better.
