Truly a hole in the wall Mexican experience. Authentic and worthy of a visit. Only 4 or 5 tables.
Love the cactus, Spanish onions and grilled jalapeños along with guacamole. They put black beans and cheese on the house tortillas. Multiple hot sauces. Always order Mexican style tacos featuring; tripe, tongue, brain (when available), and traditional toppings. Always a 2 in one taco.
$22 to feed 4 with sodas is exceptional value where ever you dine. BYOB Bonus!
I ordered some take out from this Mexican restaurant when visiting the Keyport waterfront with family. I always enjoy authentic Mexican food versus the typical tex-mex. We ordered their guacamole, which was pretty good with a hint of lime and spices. The chips seemed a little stale and greasy. We also ordered beef empanadas, but were given ones with chicken. I also ordered chicken quesadillas, but found that the chicken inside had some bones and skin, which I thought was odd. With so many Mexican places in the area, I'll probably try a different one the next time I'm in the area.
