  1. Unbelievably bad. It's pretty tough to mess up a bagel with tofu and a small coffee, but I probably could find something in the DUMBO trash that tastes better.

My bagel was okay but had a weird aftertaste. Like it had pickle juice in it or something. The texture was good but it tastes horrible, and the veggie cream cheese (which was spread so thin I barely noticed it was there) wasn't much better. My coffee was horrible-tasted like it was brewed a week ago and reheated. Fortunately Im not in this neighborhood often. Go somewhere else!

  2. This was my first time eating a New York Bagel. Everyone told me the water in NYC makes the bagels taste different, and they're so right!! The bagels here are so much bigger than those in other states. They were really nice and fluffy with a hard exterior.

Normally I can eat 2 bagels in 1 sitting, but these NYC bagels are filling. This location offers a TOFU VEGGIE CREAM CHEESE spread that was amazing. Who knew Tofu + Cream Cheese could be so delicious and creamy!

I wish this place offered a better coffee/espresso selection, but I suppose it's a bagel shop not a cafe.

For one bagel, it's about $1.00.

  3. Simple bagel. I don't why the egg smells like wet dog. Some of the workers are rude even your ordering,  but oh well this is new York. I will say the spicy sausage is pretty good on an everything bagel with cheese. Make sure to get your bagel toasted. I'll go here as I need a quick morning bite.

  4. Our tour guide took us to his favorite bagel shop and it happened to be in the DUMBO part of the town.
Bagels are good but I never go crazy for them. If I had to choose I would rather get a flagel…I think that is how you spell it.
ALSO I usually ask for scoop out bagel…just too much dough in a damn bread.
but overall the bagels came out fresh and no extra toasted needed.
Oh ya…I got the everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. great combo.
it was even yumi the next day lol couldn't finish it.

  5. Borderline 5 star

Got a everything bagel with cream cheese and small coffee for $2.99.  Very good deal for the area and the bagels are fresh and the coffee is on par or better than Brooklyn toasting.

The bagels were a good consistency even though I like bagels a little softer.  The whole wheat sunflower has generous amount of sunflower and other seeds on it which make for a really well round flavor and texture.

I found the everything bagels to be a little light in terms of seeds but it still had a good flavor.  I will be coming back.

  6. $2.82 for a bagel and cream cheese.

I got the whole wheat everything bagel with raisin & walnut cream cheese and it was truly delightful. The bagel had crunchy nuts and the cream cheese also had pieces of walnuts and raisins. Also their bagels are HUGE.

Granted, there is no sitting area and the service is kind of slow (same people running the counter and making sandwiches … now that I think about it, am not sure how hygienic that is), but I was happy and super full post bagel-consumption.

  7. A cute little bagel shop located in the DUMBO area. This is the place for you to grab a bite and head over to the water front for some nice views.

FOOD: I ordered a mozzarella, egg, spinach on a sesame bagel for $6. It's honestly a bit over-priced in my opinion. For the food itself, it was one of the better bagels I have.

DRINK: I ordered a medium iced coffee for $3. It was a solid ice coffee.

SERVICE: Unlike the some of the other reviews, I did not have too much of a problem with the service, nobody was rude or disrespectful. They did seem a little disorganized taking orders though. I gave my bagel order and the cashier left to begin making it before I gave my coffee order. Then another man came from behind to help the next customer behind me and she ordered her food and paid in the same transaction. I had to wait for my bagel to finish toasting before I had the opportunity to slip in my coffee order and paid after two people finished their transactions.

OVERALL: Good place for a quick bite!

  8. About a 2.5: La Bagel Delight has been around since '86, originating from Park Slope (they currently have 5 locations now).  They're known for their hand-rolled bagels as well as their 'Who's next?' yell-outs for quick/efficient service.  The hubs and I were in DUMBO, and while waiting for a brunch reservation, we decided to give La Bagel Delight to kill some time 😛  They offer breakfast bagels (with butter or jelly, cream cheese, sliced cheese, cream cheese & jelly, specialty cream cheeses, lox, or grilled items (bacon, Canadian bacon, sausages, grilled ham, pancetta, etc.)), muffins, croissants, turnovers, soups, and sandwiches/salads.  I had the Onion bagel (toasted) with Scallion cream cheese (it had onion bits all around the bagel; large and slightly crisp exterior, with a generous spread of cream cheese with scallions; the cream cheese was okay, but it wasn't anything special, as it wasn't as creamy and not enough of a pronounced scallion taste to it); the hubs had the 2 eggs with bacon on an Egg bagel (this, we were both not fans of, as the scrambled eggs within were overcooked, and the egg bagel had an off-taste to it).  Service was fine, and the place is carry-out only.
