Mehhh.. Wanted a late night treat out of-the-ordinary – when in NY especially after clubbing all night long ,( in my roaring twenties) the quickest and cheapest food to grab after 4 am is a Chimi- specifically in the heights (Washington Heights at a food truck)…. Jersey is a little bit more tricky to find a greasy food truck open after 4pm let along after 4am , besides hot dogs…. I seen this corner restaurant one day when in Branch Brook Park …. and said one day I will make a visit… I should of believed what the previous reviewer "Lauryn D." Said and stayed my hungry self home… Hoodlums in the front of the restaurant is an understatement lol — Can't believe "Lauryn D" wrote that LMAO… My husband who is 6'1 and a big dude was afraid to get out of the car LMAO… Anyway when we finally made it out of the car and pushed our way into the lil shack restaurant… Because all of the teenage hoodlums seem to not have a curfew.. I was greeted with a smile so that was comforting… Ordered a chicken chimi and chinola juice( passion fruit juice)… The chicken look like beef meat so that was suspect– it barely had slaw in the sandwich and it was kind of dry – barely had any of the suspect meat .. ughhh Is it worth it getting shot to get a chimi around here ABSOLUTELY NOT ! I will have to continue to cross the bridge to get a good chimi in the heights!
