  1. I'm convinced this place has as good of a rating as it does only because it's the only (or one of a few) Thai restaurants in union city. We came in – the service was fast, the place is small and the staff friendly enough. The food was mehhhhhh…

I started with a Thai iced coffee – the actual coffee part of it was not made well. It was kind of watery.

We had the Thai chili wings as a starter. While I wasn't a huge fan (I thought the chicken was kind of dry) the person I ate with thought they were bomb.

For our meals we had the pad see ew with duck and the drunken noodles with chicken. Both needed sauce but we're good.

Overall this place is all right. But there are definitely better options in the surrounding areas.

  2. Typical Thai cuisine so for the neighborhood it is the best so I am fan. You have your standard menu items like pad-thai, drunken noodles, spring rolls, etc.
A can't miss if you are from the area and are in the mood for Thai. Delivery is a bit nuts as they charge a $3 delivery fee and minimum is $20, factor in the delivery tip and it might just be worth it to go out!

  3. 5 Stars for Five Stars Thai!!

This place is definitely one of my favorites. It's definitely hard to find a good Thai restaurant in this year but thanks to 5 Star that is not an issue anymore. I've been coming here for years both dine in or take out and you cannot go wrong.  I have tried so many of their dishes and have never been disappointed.  I've had their pad Thai, roasted duck; their soups, apps, and everything in between all are delicious and full of flavor. The service is great and although it's a small place you don't usually have to wait for a table.  Five stars is also BYOB which is great and there is no corking fee as well.

Always a friendly staff every helpful and a tentative, the owner Thai himself has been extremely sweet and welcoming.  I've never had a bad meal or service here and will continue to recommend this place to friends!

  4. 1/8/2015: One of the best Thai places I have ever eaten at! I found this place on yelp and it had some great reviews so I took a chance and boy I wasn't disappointed in the least. I tried a couple of appetizers and a main dish. I truly love Thai! I always get it spicy and the servers are always surprised by my insistence of spicy.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Thai art. They have a pleasant ambiance where you can go with friends or a special date.

Their food was so delicious and had great flavors. I wish they were closer to me in Dallas but unfortunately I may never eat here again. I was in town for training with my company.

The service was great also. The lady was very nice and helpful. She couldn't believe all the food I ordered but it just all looked so good! I highly recommend their corn cakes…some of the best I have had in a long time!

  5. I really loved this place!!! The staff was super nice and friendly and the food was top notch!

I had the Thai basil fried rice with chicken and added pineapple and a Thai iced pearl tea.

Really flavorful, I ate the whole thing and wish I had more after I had finished it! I really wanted to go back before leaving for home!

We ordered in the restaurant and then got it to go to eat and relax back at our hotel- a major plus, THEY DONT USE STYROFOAM! There's nothing worse than getting hot food in a styrofoam container, so I really appreciated their eco friendly and healthy efforts!

  6. Hands down the best Thai food in this area.

I ordered the vegan duck, and everyone at my table agreed that it tasted better than everyone else's actual meat dishes. Highly recommended! It's quite unique, and not all Thai restaurants will have it. I won't recommend other specific dishes, because every dish is pretty solid, so just go with your gut!

Really great cozy place for groups.

  7. Union City did a great job by adding this place to its city. Not going to lie, i almost drove past it,and a side note–parking is terrible. however, the food inside will make up for it. The menu is very tradtional Thai America, but i noticed a new curry…Pineapple curry. I loved it, but wish there were more pineapple chunks in it. The portion sizes were not bad. My main two dishes i enjoyed the most were the black sticky coconut rice dessert (if youre not a fan of sweets, beware because this dessert will give you the diabetes). As far as soups, i would reccomend the Tom Yum Koong with shrimp.  The waitress was on her a-game, but the food took some time to come out. Also, the place was filled with flies–that was a bit of a turn off otherwise id give it a 4 star review. I will be back tho, they got my attention.

  8. The food here is flavorful, fresh, and AMAZING! I had a vegetable soup that had a roasted garlic flavor, glass noodles, mushrooms and so many other delicious elements to it. I had it on a cold rainy day and I have to say it truly warmed up not just my belly but my soul. My best friend lives a few blocks away and hence the reason why I frequent this place. I have also had the tofu salad which has crispy tofu, I still can't wrap my head around how in the world they make tofu so perfectly crispy which is a nice complement to the lettuce, peanuts, and cucumber with the peanut dressing! Another time i visited, I had the fish which also had excellent seasoning that made it seem so fresh and created a great dining experience. Every time I come here I say I will try the dessert. I have my heart set on the black sticky rice but I am just too full to even think about it! I must make it a priority however and will make sure to do so next time! The only downside to the place is that it seems to be more of a take out spot, since there is only one person on the waitstaff that takes orders on the phone and in the restaurant. My friend lives so close she always wants us to dine in, not a big deal just a bit of a longer wait, TOTALLY WORTH IT!
