They've got peppers in their kitchen. Tried their pad kra pao (Thai basil chicken) and didn't specify the hotness level. yet every bite was like a Polaroid picture. Hmm, wait, every bite shook my taste buds like a Polaroid picture? Each bite of the dish packed a spicy punch.
I found the meat overcooked, which made me sad. Chicken's easy to screw up, I guess.
I came here on a whim with my husband because we were in the area and it was raining and just wanted to eat before we went home. It had an A rating so it was good by our standard to pop in. We're vegan and they had plenty of options for us. We found the dishes to be quite salty and the service was really subpar. Every time we asked a question about something on the menu (ie. what type of broth is your soup made with) our waitress had to run to the back.
After we finished we waited a while to get our check and had to ask for it 2x. It's a small place, maybe 15 tables and there was a group of 8 there so staff blamed that for everything being slow. I'm also not a fan of being served by someone wearing rubber gloves. Why can't you touch the plate with your bare hands? The neon green wall color, slow service and mediocre food really isn't enough to get us to go back.
i sat there expecting something good. got a mediocre som tum salad and sat there waiting for 15 minutes for my entree while I was on my computer. After a while I said "whats up". she assured my my order was coming. 10 more minutes and no food. I told her i had to go and paid for my salad and left and got a chipotle burrito. Was really irritated by the whole experience. they indicated that a big takeout order had come in and were preparing it. While they were apologetic, that didn't make a lot of difference to the time I wasted. Consider it a mixed blessing as the food would likely have been poor anyways.
They've got a great happy hour special but the food isn't great. My girlfriend got the pineapple fried rice which had no flavor. I got pork pad gra prow which wasn't anything like what I've gotten at other places. It had larger pieces of pork, was very sweet and not too spicy, and had very simple flavors. The drinks were cheap and pretty tasty but the food left a lot to be desired.
This place may be owned by the same people as thai selcet because the pad kee mow was just as amazing, pretty good lunch deal.
Excellent Thai food. They are very good at following delivery instructions. Their lemongrass chicken is amazing as is the pad Thai. I have been getting delivery from here for years. Delivery is always quick, packaged nicely and hot. The prices are very reasonable. One thing I appreciate, they always include a surprise of some sort, today I got a dumpling. On the weekends, they also offer the lunch menu. All in all, a wonderful spot.
I hate to be the person who just writes a one liner but that's all I've got:
Aceluck provided a solid meal for myself and four friends the other day, but other than that, there was nothing stand out about this meal.
Updated new interior with more modern look. Uplighting adds to a fresh look.
Menu's are also updated with many of the same delicious menu items.
Love theirs soups, duck, and grilled moo tang (bbq pork) with the sticky rice and spicy papya salad.
