  1. I'm the one always ordering the cold noodles salad dishes at Viet places and not pho!  The cold salad dishes were pretty tasty, although I wish they had a combo with pork chops and spring rolls.  Their pork trio only includes shredded pork, pork patty and spring rolls.  I enjoyed the dish.

The pho here is ok but not the best.  As others have said, the broth is overly salty and the noodles were a bit too clumpy.  Nevertheless, I am happy there is a Viet place within walking distance.

Also, stick with the Viet food here.  The Chinese dishes aren't that great.  My Aunt and Uncle order and eat here a lot.  Their shrimp isn't the freshest-from frozen.

  2. This place is my "I really want pho but I don't want to go into flushing" place. As I'm sure for many others too. This is a place to "settle" for average pho in the area.

I usually get the #1 large ($7). It's decent and filling. Just give me a lot of hoisin and chilli sauce and we be alright. If not for those two sauces, it's probably not as tasteful.

Spring rolls are average. Kind of small and expensive but if you really want somewhat of the spring rolls, this might be an okay filler for now.

I got the trio combo vermicelli noodles one time before. Save your money. Not worth it. It's no where as close as the vermicelli with spring roll and grilled pork at Pho Bang you're thinking of. It's not good at all. Don't settle for this dish- it won't fill those needs!

The grilled pork chop rice is pretty good here though. I think that's the only thing that is actually up to par with the Vietnamese places in flushing or Chinatown.

Service is good- they do try to be very attentive, which I appreciate since most Chinese restaurants aren't really known for great service.

  3. I remember coming here since high school. My friends and I will always get the cubed beef over rice or the classic beef pho noodles. Apparently they're under new management because the quality and flavor of food has gone down. The broth is not as flavorful anymore and the pork chop does not look as appetizing anymore. It's sad cause this was one of the best spots on Springfield

  4. To be honest, the only reason why I come here is

    1. Has a parking lot
    2. Not in Flushing
    3. Reasonable prices

However, the taste is really lacking, it is far from decent pho. Flavor is lacking in the pork chops and the pho soup.

They give a lot of  noodles, and 3 pieces of meat, and then give a lot of unflavored soup. That pretty much describes your typical bowl of pho.

  5. This place is absolutely disgusting. I ordered a beef pho from Saigon and was utterly appalled by how rotten the food tasted. Needless to say, I came down with an awful stomachache. A few days later, I noticed the restaurant has a C health rating. Violations include: cockroaches, visible vermin, and food not being stored properly. Eat at your own risk!

  6. Food is alright. Definitely not the best pho, but it's close by school, the prices aren't bad, and there is a parking lot in the back AND they accept credit card. I barely have cash on me, so this is a big deal for me.

I ordered a #2 and although the bowl doesn't look big, there is A LOT of noodles. My soup was spilling out when I was trying to eat. However, there weren't enough meats to balance the noodles out. I ended up eating a bowl of plain noodles towards the end. I never tried anything else here, so maybe I'll give the cubed beef over rice a try next time since I have heard good things about it.

Overall, their service is quick and the food is cheap and convenient.

  7. Eh. Not amazing, but not terrible. If you're just looking for a quick viet fix, this place will do the trick.

They were a little slow to get the food to our table, but i'll say it was a busy Sunday with a ton of people, so I guess I can understand.

Do not get the summer rolls…they were as small as could be. I couldn't believe how small the summer roll were. They were okay, but a ton of veggies and the peanut sauce tasted like just soy sauce. I had the pho and it was alright, broth was just okay and needed some hoi sin sauce to make it a little more flavorful. We also had the beef cubes which was delicious, one of the best beef cubes I've had, believe it or not. The dishes are small, so if you're starving, make sure you order an appetizer.

Highly recommend the beef cubes, but everything else is just mediocre. Nothing amazing, but passable.

  8. This has been my go-to place for Vietnamese because it's super convenient and pretty decent food! I gave this place a pretty good rating because I've been coming here for years and I never had a bad experience. The service is always good and the prices are very fairly priced. As for the food, I know they have some good dishes and bad dishes so you just got to know what to order. I usually get the grilled pork chop noodle soup and I've alway finished my food meaning it's not bad! I've recently went again after awhile and the pork chop was cooked perfectly and the pho was good! Their grilled pork chopped never disappoints me, so if you want to go to the safe side, order that! I remember that their spring rolls were pretty good too. One downside is that their soup base for the phos are definitely not up to par to other authentic Vietnamese places.
