If you need a place to order delicious cakes in the city, Loveletter Cakeshop is the place to go. They specialize making cakes for weddings but they also do cakes for other events as well such as Wednesday's. Cake's are not usually my thing to eat unless there's ice cream with it but I don't have that feeling with these heavenly delights.
If you are a chocolate person you got to get the Upon a Midnight Pillow! It was my favorite out of the ones I tried so far. The chocolate ganache is what makes it bomb! and surprise are little crisps balls that pop in your mouth like eating a Nestle crunch bar but with better taste. It's not overly sweet or heavy so you can have tons and tons and not feel like you drank everything from the chocolate river.
I also tried the Pistachio Vera which is a super interesting flavor because I never had pistachio as a cake. It was freakin delicious because it had a smooth flavor with intense pistachio nutty flavor. I would rather eat this than the actual nut. It is also my wife's favorite cake flavor from here.
The Honeymoon in Cancun is fruity and light. It has a little hint of tart that counters the sweetness while still making my mouth salivate. I feel it would pair well with Beach Boys songs in the background. Life felt simple and sweet eating this.
The Red Velvet was pretty good. The cake wasn't sweet at all and kind of had the texture of cornbread.
The attention to detail is why Loveletter Cakeshop deserves 5 stars. I would recommend ordering from here!
I ordered my sister's cake for her engagement party from Loveletter Cakeshop. They did such a great job and I received so many compliments from my friends and family about how beautiful and delicious it was. Her fiancé loves Guinness beer so we went with Dear Dublin as our flavor. The cake was extremely moist and very rich, but not overwhelming. I get really picky with frosting because most of the time it's too sweet and the cake to frosting ratio is usually off, but the frosting on her engagement cake was absolutely perfect!
I'm sure my sister will use them for her wedding cake! Thanks again!
