The Witches Brew
“There are very few places in Long Island that are open until 1:30 AM on the weekends, so I automatically loved it.”
“Lots of mismatched furniture, end tables, couches, Victorian mirrors, and strung lights all over the place.”
“My suggestion is a brownie with marshmallows, along with a strawberry milkshake (or smoothie as it's known on their menu).”

What an odd place… And I mean that in a very good way! I've been here a few times and their menu is vegan/vegetarian and very extensive. There is just so many things to try from teas to entrees to desert, which is how they keep you coming back.
This place is mostly to hang out and just chat and catch up with one another. The high scent of incense in the air keeps the aura very tranquil.
I adore a nice pot of jasmine tea with the apple pie a la mode.
*cash only, but they have an atm*
When I was younger I enjoyed this place a lot more. (Especially when I would see the girls in dreadlocks they were so sexy) usually they have younger girl customers in groups that are loud and obnoxious. They did sit us as far from them as possible when I went on my last date. (If you did this on purpose I really REALLY appreciate it) they have a variety of drinks and desserts are bakery quality.
Sorry to say, but totally overrated 🙁 What a let down. I went on a Tuesday night around 9 pm and the wait was over an hour long, meanwhile there were plenty of empty tables open that they weren't sitting people at. Totally mismanaged. The actual building is old and rickety and kinda funky (not in a good way). Also, there is no parking besides the street which is residential and there are no parking sign everywhere. The food is alright but nothing to wait on a line for. I do not think I will be going back unless there is nothing else to eat or do.
I mean it is cool that is open late but they have to do that because they take hours to seat people when they really don't have too.
Overall really disappointed because I was really hyped to go here 🙁
Came here around 7pm on a Saturday night, we were seated right away. I love the decor and ambiance! Our server was very nice (forgot his name). When my friend was going to pass on dessert he suggested she try a vegan cookie free of charge, so sweet of him.
The menu is awesome, I didn't know what to drink or eat! It was difficult to decide! I went with the hibiscus tea (cold) and the creme brûlée and my friend had the coconut tea (hot) and the vegan molasses cookie. Everything was delicious! The creme brûlée was perfect! The custard was creamy goodness and the sugar was perfectly crisp. My friend said the cookie was awesome, soft and full of flavor.
I loved how no one rushed us out, we sat there and enjoyed ourselves for quite a while. I felt like we were hanging out in a cozy living room. The bathroom was clean and there were incense burning which brought me back to my high school days lol.
Can't wait to go back to try some of the lunch/dinner items on the menu. We saw other people getting french fries and other dishes and everything looked delicious.
Love this place. The decor is crazy and reminds me of some artists I knew at Bennington. (I bet the proprietors even know what that is.) The waitstaff was really nice and the vegetarian "pulled pork" (jackfruit) was way better than any other jackfruit preparation we've had. We tried to replicate it at home and failed miserably. Guess we'll have to come back.
Seats were comfortable. Note that every single one is different. Porch is nice. Cash only.
holy tea pots of tea brewed just for me!
this is place is AWESOME
vegetarian vegan
its dark in there with red string lights
just love the atmosphere sit on a couch and relax nobody will rush you

peruse the appetizer sandwich and salad menu
so many tasty things to choose from its not easy
I have been here twice so far and if they were closer I am sure I would be there every day!
today we started off with a pot of pumpkin spice sleep hollow tea
just beautiful flavors roll off your tongue
then we nibbled roasted brussel spouts they come with a side of rice really a meal unto itself but we had to eat more
the chicken Caeser salad wrap is delish! toasty wrap with "chicken" what a vegetarian's dream of a hearty sandwich.
we all had the Is real Lite hummus on a toasty bun with a side salad another delish choice
finished off this meal with a raspberry crumb cake …
it was served warm
our waitress was sweet and friendly
this is a cash only so dont forget
go sit relax and enjoy
The decor and ambiance of this place is super cute! Not sure it would be worth it to come to this place if you got take out because part of coming here is to experience the cool vibe of the inside! I've haven't had any of the food items here, but I'm obsessed all the espresso drinks! I also have to mention that even though I love their espresso drinks, I think some of them can be a bit too sweet so you might want to just share one with a friend and get a tea or something to contrast it!
The desserts here are a toss up, last time I came got the tiramisu and the chocolate pecan pie; the tiramisu wasn't that good but the chocolate pecan pie was delicious! Definitely would come back here again to get more drinks, but might hold off on the desserts because when I left this place I was on a sugar overload!
Came here for brunch. We had to wait 20 min bc there were three of us (would've been quicker for parties of two)
Pros:
– Beautiful decor – fell in love with the quirky lamps
– The grilled cheese sandwich (w/ mozzarella) was delicious (loved how they were cut in fours) and it comes with a side of delicious fries
– The chai latte and gypsy espresso were okay
– The chocolate cake and cheesecake were amazing – very light
– Unique bathroom
– Prices are good for the portion sizes
– Great customer service
Cons:
– Cash only but they do have an ATM
