  1. Where the Spot is Way off the Mark

    Food: 1 Star
After wandering around looking for a place to grab some food I came across a wonderful smell and it led me to "Hit the V-Spot." After looking over the menu for a minute I decided to try the Pork Belly tofu. I recently learned to enjoy tofu and I've always loved pork belly, so the combination should normally work. Regrettably I was on the wrong side of a poorly executed combination.

The tofu's texture was different from what I have typically eaten in the past. The outside was shriveled, soggy, and a rough texture. The inside was very mushy (can't think of a better word) and every bite consisted more of liquids than solids. The flavor was non-existent. It didn't taste bad or good.

The pork belly was fatty (the fattier the better), but it was full of hard gristle. I was constantly trying to find the chunks are hardened fat to spit out.

The rice was heavily packed in the container and it absorbed all the liquid escaping from the tofu. While the combined flavor wasn't bad, it still wasn't good good.

Since I am nowhere near an expert on tofu I don't know if it was meant to be prepared that way, but from all my experiences eating tofu this was by far the worst tasting.

    Service/Speed: 3.75 Stars
The service was friendly and quick. After ordering my food, I received it within 3 minutes, however when I put it all in perspective that could be a reason why the food was as poor as it was.

    Overall: 1.5 Stars
This was my worst meal experience in quite some time.
The tofu pork belly was abysmal. The flavor was non-existent and the tofu leaked into the rice making it soggy.
I am still having a hard time believing I paid $9 for the dish.
I don't think I will return to this food truck any time in the future unless I see an improvement in the overall reviews.

Don't get me started on the odd name.

  2. Got the lemon curry chicken. Flavor was pretty good but 2 major complaints.
    1) Chicken was under cooked
    2) Chicken skin not removed
I personally prefer the chicken deboned too, specially as it's a pain to cut food using plastic utensils. But lets be serious, the average person does not want to eat mushy chicken skin and they def want non pink chicken…

I was curious to try some of the other stuff, but hesitant to go back.
