I love to hate on chains and Benihana is not an exception. Over priced products without justification.
It's Japanese hibachi and sushi with some Asian decor. They have a good bar drink menu but you'll pay a premium just as you do for food. I've eaten here twice both times due to gifts and coupons and it's ok but if I had to pay full price there are better bangs for your buck in this area of heavy Asian influence.
Ok ! Food just fine ! Nothing very special ! Service is fine ,the chef put too much soy sauce on the dishes, not only the fried rice , the noodle too ！ （ chef Rong ) needs to be improved !
They should not put a big fan by the entrance , because the safety reason for the kids ! The bathroom is pretty clean ,good to see that ! Sushi is pretty good here ! You rather eat the sushi here !
Their happy hour is so on point!! We got yellowtail shashimi with jalapeños on top $4.5 crispy spicy tuna roll (only 4 pieces) $6 and the rainbow roll $6 the sakes at $3 each (the small bottles) over all I would go here again for happy hour I really enjoyed it! The drinks weren't bad either $5 the regular! Also just recently tried the fish tacos for $6 they were really good!!
Just so everyone knows.. Benihana is no longer allowing the use of $30 birthday coupons during lunch on weekdays.. now theres even less reason to come here
Oh Benihana. I'd like to think better of you, but something always misses the mark. Too high prices for mediocre food, waits for already empty tables, and never friendly (though fairly prompt) service all work against you.
I've been to this Benihana many times both at the hibachi tables and at the regular restaurant side. More often than not, you will need to wait 30-60 mins to be seated. The hibachi area is a popular destination for large groups of birthday celebrators especially on weekends.
The hibachi dinner meals are the best bang for your buck (including a brothy onion soup, small salad, hibachi shrimp, veggies, fried rice, and then entree of meat, chicken, fish or additional veggies). A la carte orders are all steep mostly $28-32 for entrees that are just ok. Last night I had a spicy salmon sushi roll for about $8. It was fine, but basically the same roll I could have at a sushi house for $4. We did eat here because my girlfriends wanted the Volcano roll. Basically a Philly roll (smoked salmon and cream cheese) deep fried with a slice of jalapeño on top. No doubt they were good, but for $13 they should be. Most rolls do feature some sort of cooked or fried element now that I think of it.
Service has never had smiles here. Whether at the hibachi or general seating, servers are clipped, short, and at times obviously unimpressed with requests (lady we just wanted plain fried rice for a side when we couldn't eat meat!). Still rather efficient though. Hibachi chefs are something of a performance which is fun, but I feel like they are all secretly miserable.
I'd recommend going elsewhere, but somehow this place has consistent business. You're better served finding a local restaurant with more authentic, better tasting foods at better prices. Plus, you smell like fried stuff when you leave – not cute for going out after.
UGH!!!! I do not think it was worth the money at all. The dishes are pricey and the entertainment was not up to par….I feel like when paying for Hibachi I want more interaction with the chef.
Additionally, the waiter my table had was VERY condescending and I hated it. When you tell him how you want your food he either questions you or he tells you how its good or make a weird face. I PAY FOR YOU TIP AND MY FOOD! Furthermore, he was telling our table about the horrible tip that they left and how they were a hard time….why would you do that? So our table leaves a better tip? HMM….ok. However my party of three tipped well because the Chef was good and the others who were around.
FOOD
Not as good as it could be for the price. Scallion onion and mushroom soup is the "appetizer" but I did not like it. To each their own. Their sauces are good.
DRINKS
Pretty good! The bartender had his own specialty which was amazing it had a peach ciroc base. Prices were decent I had a drink and a shot and it was 21. They did not have mango or passion fruit puree for the two drinks I wanted so I seemed to have struck out.
I would recommend if you are in the mood to pay a lot of money for a mediocre night.
My family's old time favorite, we come here every year to celebrate family members birthday. They do a special picture taken for you and your family at the end of the meal with a free dessert.

I was a little scared to come here from the reviews so we did the hibachi. I didn't want any sushi or fish based on their less than fresh reviews.
We had edamame. It was as expected. And you know you can't get that wrong. Go with the steak hibachi rice and noodles. Was decent. Steak was cold but noodles were good and rice had so much garlic but at least there was flavor.
