Pio Bagels is conveniently located near the Jay Street Metro Tech stations. They have many options and even have gluten-free bagels. They also have a few variations of tofu cream cheese. What more could you ask for?
You can get your bagel toasted but I'd ask for double, as once in the oven isn't enough. By the time you bite into it, it's soggy from the cream cheese.
I live close by so I stop in sometimes for a bagel or order on seamless. My favorite item is the baked salmon salad bagel. Guilty pleasure! Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. I would say they could work on making their seating situation more efficient but overall solid place for bagels/deli
Decent soft bagels. I ordered the eggs and cheese one for breakfast – it was OK. Not spectacular, but a pretty big size and cheap too. Come here if you want some good priced decent bagels, but they're not anything special.
Another bagel place to love in this city!!
The line is huge. It's a local place. Good sign. I got in line.
The line moved quick. The service was fast and friendly and efficient.
I ordered a cream cheese lox spread on an everything bagel. Bagels are fresh and delicious. They have a lot of cream cheese spreads. And their coffee is good too.
Cute little bagel shop in downtown Brooklyn. I got a multigrain bagel with pb&j for $2.50 which i thought was a good deal. The bagel was appropriately chewy and soft inside and hard and crunchy outside.
Its a little bit sensory overload when I walked in between the salads, yogurts, cupcakes, greek goodies and many other things I'm probably forgetting. I had trouble sort of figuring out the ordering- paying process but was directed in the right direction by the staff. You order to the far right side of the counter and once prepared, take your food then to the cashier to pay.
They have an extensive menu up overhead but unfortunately, one of the cream cheese flavors (avocado cream cheese!) was not on the over head menu and only noted in big tubs behind glass after I had ordered.
Pretty good overall, I'd return
I am so glad they opened a bagel/sandwich shop across the street from my office. It's super convenient, cheap, and quick!
The staff in here are very friendly and quick at what they do. I come here a lot for a bagel breakfast and I love the array of cream cheese options available.
There's not much seating area, so the best option would be to just grab and go.
My review is only for the two different kinds of bagels I had from here (I mean their name is Pio BAGELS!). My experience with the bagels can be described as a o-k. But sadly, I was disappointed. Not many places around here that have a variety of cream cheese to choose from. But the cream cheese lacked flavor! The scallion cream cheese and cinnamon raisin walnut cream cheese were very creamy and smooth…but where's the filling? I would expect to be able to have good bites of scallion/raisin and walnuts. The cream cheese are just slightly flavored is all. Also, the bagels….are a bit stiff shall I say? Not the doughy soft bagels I love to take a bite into.
Overall, not bad; but for the price maybe go somewhere else.
12/20/15 – I stopped in a few days ago when it was raining out to grab some lunch. I had the fresh turkey with lettuce tomato on a whole wheat everything bagel. Pretty standard for a bagel or deli type place. It was good, and I would go back again if it were raining out and I needed somewhere close to work to pick up lunch.
