  1. If I had to decide between Bagel Nosh and Lot's O Bagels, this place wins, hands down. The bagels taste fresher and fluffier. The coffee tastes significantly better. Amazingly better. Like this didn't come out of a folgers can and was 4 days old brew but they actually mixed it up right and I can even put some soy milk in that sucker if I really want. I come here when I'm starving and on my way to work if I end up spending the night in Astoria, which as of late has been a perpetual weekly habit. Quite a variety of cream cheese and everything is still significantly cheaper than Brooklyn Bagel and at a higher quality than Bagel Nosh. A bagel with special cream cheese plus an iced coffee has always been under $5. Booyah. Store is very clean. Service is exceptionally fast I want to add because I jet in here and there's usually a morning rush hour line and they just push me out in what feels like 90 seconds. Keep in mind though, this place closes by 4pm like numerous bakeries tend to.

  2. cinnamon and walnut cream cheese on a whole wheat bagel. thanks priscilla! :d

  3. While i lived in Astoria i went to this bagel place a few times…because of it's location and because of the quality of the bagels…

I remember the first time i went there it was a rainy morning and i was with my dad. We were starving and found this bagel place…:) i remember ordering a pretty good bagel and my dad's looked pretty good too…

The only thing that made me laugh…ALOT was the fact that i believe this place is owned by koreans…and one of the employees could NOT understand what people were asking him to do. aside from the communication breakdown…this place has great food! and it's super close to the N & Q trains…:)

  4. I want to give it 3.5. If I'm on my way to the N or Q I'll dip in here. Sure they gave themselves a facelift but their bagels and spreads are just ok. I will say that the service here is pretty good. They're friendly and I've seen them deal with a lot of difficult customers with a really cheerful attitude, apparently for some the amount of ice that goes into an iced coffee needs to be calibrated with a graduated cylinder but they've dealt with it and make a decent bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel.

  5. Lots of Bagels has just that – lots of effing bagels! And when you live in Boston and don't get the greatest bagels out there, this place has exactly what I'm missing in good ol' Beantown.

My best friend lives within walking distance of LoB, so whenever I'm in the area for a long overdue sleepover, we pretty much expect ordering bagels from here. You can call in advance, which I would suggest doing because the wait can be pretty bad here. But if you plan ahead, you will be rewarded! They do have a credit card minimum, so when purchasing inexpensive (but high quality) bagels, be sure to have some cash on you. You can, however, order online for delivery, so for those of you who only carry a credit card, this may be your best bet.

Overall, Lots o Bagels is one of my favorite places to grab a delicious weekend morning treat. I can't wait to get back to New York to indulge!

  6. Lot's-O-Bagels is a bagel joint in Astoria. Take the N/Q train to Broadway in Astoria.

Just like the other bagel joints in the area, the seating is limited, and there might be a line. The line moves fast, so don't fret – you'll get your bagel soon. They give you a good slab of cream cheese. I got the everything bagel with tofu cream cheese. Bagels are fine, not great. Crunchy? Not so much. Fresh? Meh.

I like Brooklyn Bagel that is a short walk a few blocks east.

  7. So I actually used to work here many moons ago. It was my first job ever lol I can say they have definitely come a long way since I was there. That's not really including the food because the food was always good. The place itself is larger and a lot more cozier than it used to be and they certainly have added a lot more food to the menu. When I was there, it was just a basic breakfast place. Now they have a bunch of lunch sandwiches and other things they cook. The service is always good as well and the prices are reasonable. Everything bagel is my favorite lol I usually get whatever on one of those bagels. They are obviously made fresh everyday as well. I used to be fascinated by the bagel making process when I worked there haha it's really cool.

If you're in the area- make a stop here!

  8. Um, this place is pretty friggin' awesome if I do say so myself. I have now upgraded my $0.75 bagel per day habit every morning to a (still "woohoo!" worthy) $1.35 bagel per day habit.

I was actually introduced to Lots O Bagels through work; specifically the Fridays we were lucky enough for our supervisor to come into the Friday morning meeting carrying a bag 'o bagels (see what I did there?). We would all rip into the fresh, warm carb-loaded goodness in front of us and agree to whatever she told us we had to finish during the next week.

Now that I've moved to Astoria, I've stopped by a few times on the way to work and I've had zero issues here even though it's the morning rush hour. I've been in and out in 5 minutes tops, and I always receive exactly what I ordered in its warm, fresh awesomeness. I'm hooked, and now the street vendors around Herald Square will start wondering what on earth happened to me. No need to send out a search party guys; I'm hooked on Lots O Bagels!
