“I usually get the tom yum soup and veggie pad thai- both really good.”

“The Papaya Salad we ordered "mild" because my lady had it previously and said it can be very spicy hot, and she loves her spice I tell ya.”

  1. Absolute Thai-licious!

Just came back from lunch here with my mom. It's a Saturday afternoon but the place was empty (we were the only dine-in) but while we were there there were about 4 phone orders and one walk-in to-go order. So we could tell it's a popular joint.

The staff is uber friendly. The owner (I'm assuming) is super welcoming and nice. He'll have a conversation and crack jokes with you and everything.

I ordered (like a lot of people here, it seems like) the drunken noodles with shrimp. And my mom ordered the green curry. We also got the Tom Yum soup (mine with tofu and my mom with chicken). The soup, I really enjoyed. It wasn't too sour, but just perfect. We got the small size ($5) and I think it was a pretty big size for a small. The downside of the soup is….it got me really full and I couldn't finish the entree.lol. The drunken noodles was very flavorful and I liked how there was a lot of vegetables and not too oily. I should have gone for a higher level of spicy though. I ordered it "medium spicy" but I should go higher next time (note taken). My mom really enjoyed the curry. We both took half of our food home.

Reading the other reviews, seems like you should dine in or pick-up your food to get a positive experience (not delivery).

Overall, it's a place I'll definitely dine in again!!! You should try it too!

  2. Dined in tonight- was wayyyyy better than my takeout/delivery experience from Sunday. The food was AWEsome. I didn't like the tom yum soup much, as that had an overwhelming amount of spice- I'm sure others would like it just fine but tom yum just ain't my cup of tea.
The papaya salad was crisp- we asked for medium spice and oh MAN my mouth was on FIYAH. So go easy on the level of spice – I can usually handle it but not here. The struggle was real- had to order some Thai iced tea to calm my flaming tongue, and a delicious way at that. Tea was a brilliant sweet addition and complemented my dinner perfectly. My favorite is their drunk man noodles. Mmmmm- there was so much depth in the flavor, and the vegetables were fresh. The noodles were wider than most places but that's just an immaterial observation.

The green curry with chicken was likewise fantastic- a tasty tang with the soothing combination of coconut milk, it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and had been cooked/simmered for long enough to have seeped through and through the chicken and veggies. The chicken and shrimp dumpling was meh. Tasted better dining in than via takeout/delivery.

I didn't bring in any alcohol but it's BYOB. We came at around 7pm, and only one table was occupied. In 30 mins, the place started piling up and by the time we left, there was only one small table remaining. We ordered way too much food and had to take some togo. The waiter was pleasant, quick, and attentive.
The homemade taste of this place leaves you with enough warmth to pass out immediately upon finishing the meal. I'll definitely be back for more.

  3. My wife and I just got home from our lovely dinner. We order the beef satay and the fish cake apps. 5 stars for the beef satay with peanut sauce, 3-4 for the fish cakes (very small and bland). For dinner I ordered the drunken noodles with beef (5 stars) while my wife ordered the spicy thai shirmp (4 stars). My dish was melt in your mouth good. My wife's was ok, pretty small dish but she enjoyed it. The resturant is small but very lovely. Very comfortable. The service was very good. However try not to sit by the phone, they get orders all night long (the food is that good). The wait for the food was long (40ish min) however my wife and i loved it because we got the chance to sip our wine (byob) and enjoy our night out without being rushed. The prices are also amazing (38 dollars for 2 apps and 2 entrees cant beat that in this area). With all that being said, we will 1000000 percent be back.

  4. The overall taste is pretty good except I find most of the dishes to be too sweet. The Curry puffs, Asian version of empanadas were my favorite and is done just right. The filling is mostly potato and it is classically a South East Asian finger food or snack.

This is homestyle Thai cooking so that is the way the chef cooks it at home and she is not going change her recipe. The fried fish in tamarind sauce is quite good other than it being too sweet. If I was a kid I would have loved this for the extra sweetness.

  5. A decent place in Edgewater for Thai food. Has all the popular options and large variety of vegetarian appetizers. The tom yum soup is great and the right portion size. The roti app was lacking flavor and felt like reheated frozen food.
Had the popular Thai red curry and drunken noodles for entrees. Large portion sizes and good taste, nothing exceptional. Small place with limited seating, BYOB and friendly service .

  6. BYOB friendly Thai place with some nice flavors here.

the green curry is definitely my favorite top pick. it's so hard to resist ordering something besides the green curry but I've also tried the chicken pad thai and beef pad see eu. The pad thai is not *bad* but I did expect it to be a little better just because I feel like this place offers some authentic flavors that are hard to find in other NJ Thai restaurants.

I like the papaya salad as a refreshing appetizer and if you order the chicken satay, you'll get to enjoy four homemade sauces that are delicious! the chicken satay is flavored well but I think it is a *tad* drier than I expected.

short review but it's a solid Thai place that I'd be happy to return to.
