Just like the name says, the bagels are fantastic! Huge, fresh, chewy and oh-so-amazing! I had been wanting to try a Brooklyn bagel since we moved here and I think I've found my go-to place!
Well the sign on the awning says fantastic but you walk inside there is nothing fantastic at all. Come on you sell bagels that aren't fully covered in poppy seeds, onion bits or sesame seeds that's not fantastic. I think you should change your name to cheap bagels.
When you only cover one side of the bagel with poppy seeds that's not acceptable. I want every bite to be flavorful. Place seems dingy like you are walking in a time warp it has a 1980s feel.
I had a Lox with cream cheese really wasn't impressed at all. I have eaten much better elsewhere. I was scolded by my regular bagel store when I mentioned my visit here and the poor quality of the bagels.
Service was ok, but how can you mess up a bagel. Really??

There must be something special about the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn because the best bagels I've ever had come out of the area. 5 star bagel is definitely up there. It's a small Mexican run deli type shop, they do a flat top to make some basic breakfast items and a few tables to stay and eat, the service is quick and straight forward. One of the best things about this place is it's right by the subway, something I wish I could say for all my favorite spots.
