Bantam Bagels
“Next came the Hot Pretzel and Grandma JoJo (Italian), which were also unique spins on familiar flavors, and quite savory.”
“I was walking down the street in the west village the other day after brunch (of course) and recognized this name from Shark Tank.”
“The Hot Pretzel was less memorable, in that it resembled a run-of-the-mill beer garden pretzel that you get with your cheap pint.”

It's not bad at all
Location: bleecker street has this innovative shop for a few years. Despite its innovation, I saw many negative reviews about this store so every time I passed this store, I told myself to wait a little bit and the latter on. Finally, I was here, pretty unsure what I should get. But it was too late and there seems to have few choices for me decide so I just grab birthday cake for 1.25 dollars
It is good. I won't say delicious because the crust is very stale but inside it was chewy. So that balanced out my disappointed. The best part of the bagel is their creams inside. I would argue this their cream is delicious as hell! It's good, it's very good, it exceeds my expectations.
Actually wanna to have another one but ended up restricting my temper
I d recommend people to give it a try and not let others stop you from getting your own flavor of New York.
4 stars
We were driving through the area and hadn't had breakfast and saw this place. It looked interesting so figured we would give it a shot.
First, they are expensive. $1.50 for a bagel roughly the size of a golf ball? (We got a dozen at a slight discount)
The fillings do not impress. We tried four different flavors. They were decent, my wife liked them more than I did. But we both agreed that while it was great trying something new, we would not be going back.
The coffee was pretty bad. Barely drinkable.
I actually saw Bantam Bagels on Shark Tank and didn't realize it was them, glad they went with Lori on a deal. This location wasn't far from where I was staying, so I got up pretty early in the morning to hit the streets to bring back some breakfast to the hotel.
Nothing like the smell of fresh bagels in the morning! They look like donut holes to me, but mostly savory and some sweet ones. I got an assorted dozen and they were actually quite tasty. They had a pizza one with pepperoni, a poppy seed one, a sesame, some sweet options like the yummy PB&J or a French Toast one etc. All of them were actually quite good, the cream cheese is already piped inside of the bagel ball when you bite into it. It's just like a NYC bagel on the outside but in a ball shape.
Interesting twist on a NYC bagel, and just as delicious! Some flavors do run out so be sure to get there early.
Glad I came by to try them for myself, it's a little shop so grab some and take it to-go.
Being a regular at Blind Tiger, always walk by this spot as an enticing after beer (or before beer) snack. Small place peddling different flavored bagel balls with different flavored cream cheeses.
Tried to see what was enticing via the balls displayed on the trays to the side. Settled on a Hot Pretzel and Onion Bagel ($1.50 each). Balls were outside sitting, so thankfully they put it in the oven to get that crisp outside and melted inside. Each bagel had a nice flavorful dough, yet not enough cream cheese (they tell you to eat where the cream cheese pops out so it doesn't squirt). I feel like a small cup of cream cheese to the side would be better than filling it in.
I do like the concept; probably $0.75 too expensive. If there's no line and you haven't had it before, give it a shot.
Was shopping in Greenwich Village during a visit in New York and my husband spotted the Bantam Bagels sign. We had seen the company on Shark Tank and decided to give the miniature bagels a try.
We ordered the everything Bantam Bagels stuffed with cream cheese. I thought the bagels were awesome! The bagels are very inexpensive at $1.50 per ball. I had two as a snack, but if this was my breakfast I would probably order three or four.
Use caution when biting into the Bantam Bagels! My sister decided to take a "ladylike" bite instead of cramming the entire bagel ball in her mouth and ended up squirting out half of the cream cheese that was stuffed in the bagel.
I love bagels and I love bagels even more when they come with the spread already on them. Effortless eating is what I'm all about.
Unfortunately, I did not order these myself. They were made available to me at work in the kitchen and I just saw the label on the boxes. They are delicious and I'm sad I had to share with the whole office (he he he).
I tried 5 different kinds and now I don't need lunch!
The Classic – with plain cream cheese. Plain jane but good.
Classic Everything – with veggie cream cheese. It was tasty but not my favorite.
Cinnamon Bun – with cinnamon sugar cream cheese. Definitely my favorite. I loved this.
Strawberry Delight – plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I unfortunately did not taste the strawberry.
The Bleeker Street – Pizza bagel with pepperoni on top. It was YUMMY. My coworker wasn't a fan but I took two and devoured them.
Not really sure what the big fuss is about this place other than it was one of the Shark Tank investments. Ran into this joint on the way to a meeting at the Blind Tiger on the corner of Jones St and Bleeker St. Its a very cozy place with only a few stools to sit inside and a bench right outside the doorway. I tried a few different flavors but the one that was the "best" was with cinnamon. What I find a bit off these stuffed bagel holes is that out of four different flavors I tried – one being a plain bagel – they lack a freshness and dough that other NY bagels provide.
The price is average and the more you get the better the buy. The counter person was a bit rude and had an attitude which also left a negative taste in my mouth (literally). Definitely worth trying it yourself if you're going in that direction and in need of a quick and small snack.
I heard about Bantam Bagels on Shark Tank, and on a recent trip to New York my family and I had to make the trek to visit BB. We were not disappointed. Note that this shop is a small storefront with no tables or chairs – we were happy to park ourselves on a sidewalk bench and then carry our BB picnic to a nearby park. I especially enjoyed the classic everything and the hot pretzel Bantam Bagels.
