Im literally here at least once a week. This place never gets old! My go to's are the BEC on a bagel or (if im feeling healthy) the veggie panini. The place can trend more on the pricey cide, but the huge portions will always leave you full and satisfied. The place gets PACKED though, probably because mcginley square doesnt have much be way of food options – so be orepared for long lines if youre there for the rush.
A great spot to have breakfast, lunch, or simply a cup of coffee. This is a growing chain in jersey city and Bayonne. However, they will always be seen as a mom and pop shop in my eyes.
Service is usually good, bagels are fresh, and sandwiches fresh and hot. Yum pastrami! The coffee is better and cheaper then dunkin donuts as well.
I love the fact that they are so close to my house and from what I hear they took over the parking lot across the st. Once your done with breakfast walk over to the farmers market or sims chocolate. There are a ton of small business to check out in McGinley Square.
Got milk? You can pick up a gallon of milk to just as an FYI.
Awesome breakfast bagels. The prices were cheap, the bagels were big, and there are tons of seating options.
I do like my bagels a little more crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside, and these were all around chewy. Still, not a bad bagel!
Oh baby!
I was anxiously awaiting the opening of this location.
Worth the wait.
The awesomeness that is wonder bagels walking distance from my home.
Same delicious bagels and fixins.
Weekly stop for weekend breakfast commences.
I had heard such wonderful things about The original Wonder Bagel on Jersey Ave. And that it was the absolute best. I had been to the Bergen Ave. Location a few times. Neither times was it anything special. This time was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a bagel store! I ordered a jalapeño bagel toasted with vegetable cream cheese. I specifically asked if it was the green bagel I had noticed and was told yes, it was. He had no gloves on and grabbed the bagel with his bare hands. When I received my order it was just lightly toasted on the outside and barely warm! The cream cheese was scooped on the bagel in a huge cold chunk and not spread at all. The bagel was also yellow…I was confused and assumed maybe I was accidentally given an egg bagel. When I bit into it there was a spicy after taste. I thought it must have just been miscommunication. When I opened the bagel I saw tons of red pepper flakes poured onto the bagel! I can only assume they tried to make a fake jalapeño bagel? This was the worst experience ever. I would have been happy to order a different bagel if that one was out. Otherwise, I was given the completely wrong order! Whichever it was it should not have happened. Disappointed in this location. Ive never had an amazing breakfast here. 🙁
Open for almost 2 years, I like this location of Wonder Bagel for a couple reasons:
– The have a restroom (get the key at the counter).
– This location is usually well staffed, and they know how to keep the line moving.
– There are plenty of tables.
Aside from the above, it's your typical wonder bagel: good bagels, egg sandwiches, spreads, and salads too. On my last visit I tried the fresh squeezed juice OJ and found it to be pretty good.
Was pleased with the cinnamon raisin bagel I got! Nice and chewy with a bit of crunch. Got it with lox. Would definitely go back!
