  1. Super disappointed in this bagel shop. I've been to plenty of bagel shops in New York and although some are better than others, I haven't had a bad one. Maybe because I had high expectation of this place based on the reviews but I was very disappointed. I was way too far before I realized my bagel order was wrong. I came here today and I ordered a French toast bagel with walnut cream cheese. I asked the woman helping me what flavored ice coffee they had. She said we have too many flavors. I just looked at her. She did not name one. Not one. Then she told me to go to the other side of the store and there is a list. I go look at the list and there is 7 flavors!!!!! She couldn't name one????? I opted for the cupcake ice coffee with cream and sugar. While driving away I unwrap my bagel and realized I got a French toast bagel with REGULAR cream cheese. The bagel is sooooo tiny. The bagel did not even taste like French toast, it tasted burnt! No where in the iced coffee did I taste cupcake. Not even cream. Not even sugar. Just coffee and milk.

  2. I've been coming here for years.  The bagels are still as amazing as they were when I was inches tall.
Things haven't changed much over the years but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.  The great satisfaction from having a toasted egg bagel with butter will never fade away.

  3. Magic Bagels makes a bagel the way it should be made. Soft and chewy on the inside, slightly hard on the outside. Subtle infusion of flavors in each different bagel offered. The Everything, Salt, Sesame, cinnamon Raisin, and French toast bagels are our favorites.

It's a treat that is delicious with butter, cream cheese, or flavored cream cheese.
The Lox is good too, but comes from a package.

The staff are friendly, the price is right and there's a lot of positive high energy here.
Easy parking in the parking lot.

  4. I recently went to Magic Bagels using a local flavor certificate and I purchased a bakers dozen of assorted bagels a pound of vegetable cream cheese and a half a pound of scallion cream cheese. The store itself was clean and airy. The bagels were very good, fresh and chewy with just the right consistency. The cream cheese was excellent. Service was patient and friendly as I has to adjust my order a few times. The price to value ratio is about average for this type of bagel shop. All in all this was a very good experience and I look forward to returning in the near future.

  5. The top half of the bagel is usually chewy soft and good while the bottom half of the bagel is crunchy overcooked and yucky.. Lol. This isn't describing one bagel one time, this is describing every bagel every time. They have been a part of the community for as long as I can remember. I just wish that they made a better bagel.

  6. This bagel shop is A-OK, average at best.
I came in this morning (Sunday) for a few bagels for myself and my parents. Prices are low, especially for Long Island:
$1.50 for a bagel with cream cheese
$1.25 for a bagel with butter
The everything bagels were pretty good, standard. But my mom said her cinnamon raisin bagel was the worst she'd ever had. It was small and stale and hard. We don't eat bagels often so I was disappointed that she wasn't satisfied. Sunday morning is prime time so there is no reason for them to be serving subpar bagels; it's not like I went in the afternoon or near closing… Seems like this place may be a hit or miss.
I might come again since it's close to home but there are plenty of better bagel shops in Hewlett/Woodmere as well (Bagelo, Bagel Boss, etc.)
    Also, cash only.
